Anyone still vaping a UFS or are we a dying breed?

I just took delivery of my first UFS this morning. Watched an instructional video, assembled it using a Joye 510, filled it with one of my favorite juices, pressed the button, sucked in and got a mouthful of juice.

Before you state the obvious, I made sure the tank was screwed all the way up.

After this, I took off the tank wall, closed the air valve and blew through the atty. There was a definite air leak between the atty and the bottom part of the tank. When fully closed, it is still open, or so it seems.

Tried everything suggested in the manual & still getting the same results.

Are joye attys more prone to flooding than others? I tried a normal one and a lr bridgeless. No difference.

Any ideas?

Mine did the same thing. Mouthfuls of juice and leaking out of the tank into the collector.

The connector and base cup were the culprit.. they were out of spec. Once I replaced those (temporarily - thanks Para) my UFS immediately worked properly.

Glad to hear. I gave my V1 to my bro in law but he couldn't grasp the concept. So now I have a backup. Would go the Ody route if I could buy premade wicks I guess. Not much of a tinkerer. Although after mastering the UFS I guess I could be considered one.

Hey Chris!! I was wondering what happened to you. Hadn't seen you posting in the usual haunts. I also still use my UFS. I have two Ody's and two UFS (v1,v2) and one iAtty. Considering selling one of the UFS and the iAtty.

What do you mean, not much of a tinkerer? I know you did a lot of work on your house before winter set in. You can handle Ody just fine my friend.

Hi Chris! Yeah, I've been laying low and vaping my UFS continuously. Been busy with the house and missed the Ody sale. Just wondered if I should keep up or just be happy with what I'm happy with. Maybe I'll catch one in the classies. I'll pm you about the advantages of Ody.
