Anyone tried 100% VG juice from Velvet Cloud? Thoughts?

I recently ordered Summer Sweet, Harvest Berry, and Fruit Cup juices from velvetcloud.com mainly because they claim to have 0% PG and 100% VG juice and also cause I'm new to the vaping world and I'm trying to find that perfect all-day-vape juice. I've found a few really good ones so far, but you know, experimenting and whatnot.

Anyways, taken from the FAQ:
"Q: So - these are made with a complete Vegetable Glycerin base (FULL VG)? I have never had that before... That sounds very thick... is it? Will it work in my tank or carto?
A: These are indeed all VG, Organic & Naturally flavored, Home made, hand-brewed, and full of love. But we have a secret sauce that means they will work fantastically in your tank or cartomizer: We use distilled, deionized water to thin our VG base in house. Just the tiniest bit, so while there isn't propolyne glycol (PG) added - they will still wick well, and move through an e-liquid tank just fine because that perfect drop of water will help the texture."

So first off, I find it funny that they say 100% VG, and then turn around and say they use "the tiniest bit" of distilled, deionized water contradicting themselves. Still it's an interesting concoction for sure. Nothing I've ever run into at least. I'm also assuming they make their own flavor additives in house because as far as I know, most imported flavorings are suspended in PG. After all, PG is known as the "flavor carrier."

So regardless, I should be getting these 3 bottles on Tuesday save for USPS losing my order (like they did my Nicoticket order) and I was just putting some feelers out there to get an idea of what to expect. If they are who they say they are. If no one knows, I guess I'll be coming back to this thread to explain my experience :)

Thoughts? Experiences?

I tried vanilla custard and it's "meh" IMO. I only dripped it and I'm not that confident it work work well with a tank setup. The custard styles I later found at ITC vapes are much better, and cheaper too, so I wouldn't buy their stuff again.

I also find it irritating when a company claims 100% anything and then it turns out not to be accurate.

Sorry this is going to get a little long

VCV was my go-to for a loooong time and I was very satisfied with their liquids. I used them in carto tanks with no problems, except with maybe one that was a coil wrecker.

VG is usually cut with distilled water to thin it (PG/VG mixes are usually thinner because of the PG), while PG (usually harsher than VG) is toned down with VG. Even some (maybe all?) mixes of the two have water. "100% VG" is usually only used in reference to PG/VG makeup of the base (and sometimes flavorings), but sometimes because it literally is all VG. I think Boba's Bounty might fall into the latter category, but I'm not sure.

Anyway, I haven't ordered from them in quite some time because I made myself sick vaping so much from them, but I'm planning to order again soon. I've tried most of their older flavors. A few did need to be vaped quickly (the ones with chocolate, in my experience), but the vanilla custard was disgusting until it sat for several months. After that, I couldn't put it down and vaped the whole bottle in a couple of days.

The fruits are usually good to go right away, or within a few days, and don't suffer from such an extreme flavor loss as the chocolate ones.

The tobaccos need a while to age, but only get better with time until about one year (I lost a bottle once and didn't find it for almost that long, and the flavor was just starting to degrade)

VG liquids in general seem to have a shorter shelf-life than those with PG.

As for PG suspension for flavors, that's true most of the time, but there are some flavorings that are not suspended in PG. I don't know specifics, and maybe they're made in-house, but there are several PG-free vendors out there.

This is an old link now, but still handy for PG-free stuff: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/fl-lori/3281-100-vg-vender-list-coupon-codes.html

Got three juices from VC. Harvest Berry, Mewlew's Revenge and Thorangine. Also received Granberries as a sample. MR had (and continues to have) a very strong floral/perfume smell. I haven't actually dripped any since the first day I got the juice but it had an overpowering floral/perfume flavor. This does not, as you might guess, go very well with the chocolate flavor the juice has as well. Harvest Berry doesn't have the same problem but it also doesn't have a very distinctive flavor. Thorangine is a nice creamy orange flavor and I like it but there's also a harshness that goes along with it (it is only 3mg nic). Granberries is also an enjoyable flavor but I can't say it tastes of cranberries. I'd possibly order the Thorangine again but I have no real urge to explore their other flavors. That floral/perfume note with the MR was a major turn off.

So I just received my shipment today and well um...smells and tastes like perfume! Gross. The Harvest Berry isn't too bad, but the Summer Sweet tastes like chemicals. I haven't tried the Sour Skittles yet, but after smelling it, it smells the worst. I'm hesitant to try it, but I'm sure I will anyway just to see. I also got a sample of Mewlew's Magic Blend, not to be confused with Mewlew's Revenge. This one is supposed to be, "An amazing and enigmatic blend of chocolates, cream, butterscotch, doughnuts, and fudge." Out of the 4 flavors I have, this one at least smells accurate enough and no hint of perfume. But the taste test will tell all. I'll come back and share my thoughts on Sour Skittles and Mewlew's Magic Blend once I've given them a shot.

Dear god! The Sour Skittles is absolutely disgusting! It's like diving into a bag of potpourri! So gross! Here's hoping that Mewlew's Magic Blend is more magical than a bottle of perfume grossness.

EDIT: Well MMB tastes alright. Still a tad perfumey. All in all this will be my last purchase from Velvet Cloud.

The burbies of Cleveland
Frosted Gingerbread is excellent. The frosting flavor in there lightens the taste, just a little, of a very good gingerbread.

Monkey Business - could be a little sweeter, but a very true banana/coffee. Thick stuff. Does not play nice with clearos, but it's good (as in the flavor pops MUCH better! IMHO) in an RDA.

Mewlew's Revenge - Totally with ya! Love that stuff! I just don't order more than I can vape in around 45 days. Oversteep can kill it.
Skittles - got a free sampler in my last order. Pleah. Maybe steeping would have helped, but it was SO perfumey, I gave it one whiff and tossed it.

Bad news theyre discontinuing monkey business and mewlews revenge. Good news is theyre selling off the stock of those at a discount. I just got a bottle of MR for cheap to try out and it needs to steep a luttle longer its only been one day but i couldnt help myself lol i like the mint mewlew fresh out of the mail, it tastes like a thin mint, thats gonna be discontinued too though. I just got mt shasta for the first time in the same package and ive been vaping that a lot. I like that its not too pronounced and the flavor reminds me of the bead in a camel crush which is what i used to smoke. Also works really well added to fruit flavors.
A while back i had sour skittle in an evod tank on an ego battery and i liked it. Nowadays i use an .3 ohm build in an rda on mech mods or an istick 50 soid be interested in seeing how it tastes through my current setup. Also liked harvest berry and fruit cup enough when i was on the evod. Sadly, id gotten a sampler with other flavors like blue beard and vanilla custard but in 12mg and then i switched setups, got rid of my evod/ego setup, and quickly lesrned i cant handle 12mg in an rda so i never got an honest feel for those flavors.

I really like monkey leisure, better than monkey business. Didnt like melonomenon, but i just got thorangine and its pretty good will see how it steeps. Wish theyd bring back the sampler option.
