anyone tried out kanthal & nichrome wire before?

understand kanthal is a better choice, but just curious on the different between the 2. does kanthal last longer, burn better or taste better?

kanthal is easier to handle than nichrome as it is not as springy. Perf wise I can't feel any significant difference.

i dont even re-use them i got 75ft for $5 usd, kanthal ismore flexible in high temp thats why alot of guys are changing to it

I'm using kanthal. like everyone said, wire is cheap..

buy kanthal AND nichrome. You can never have too many!
Or maybe you could... Try looking ard for smaller samples first.

After the initial 5 coils just playing I have been using this one for 2 weeks.

Going to change it this weekend but really that is just for play factor rather than any need.

Used kanthal and nichrome results exactly the same as everyone else.

You could also use a lighter and run through the Kanthal wire and it will hardened it and being less springy.
