After doing a lot of research into e-cigarettes, I'm starting to wonder if buying devices wholesale and a) either reselling them to local businesses, ie gas stations and other retailers, or b) opening a mall kiosk to sell the devices might be the way to go here.

I'm currently in central Illinois, and we have a state-wide smoking ban. As I'm sure the other states' bans are worded, the Illinois ban is very specific to tobacco products and therefore e-cigs are allowed. I'm in a college town so there are a lot of people with disposable income (daddy's money) and a fairly active bar scene.

I've contacted about 6-7 different wholesalers so far, including Smoking Everywhere, Blu, GreenSmoke, and Cloud9 about their wholesale prices and programs, and most of the starter kits wholesale for about 35-45% of the retail price, allowing for a decent markup.

I really think I can take advantage of the smoking ban and push the idea of being able to use this product in the bars, at work, etc. There's also a headquarters for a very large company here in town (they probably employ about 5-6k) who's campus is about to go completely smoke-free as of Jan 1st.

A woman at the mall who handles the vendors says she's heard of e-cigarettes and one or two of their company's malls out on the east coast has some kiosks selling them and they do pretty well, and she's amazed no one hasn't set one up yet. Literally nowhere in town can you find these devices... yet.

Just wondering if anyone has looked into, or actually pulled the trigger, on selling e-cigs. I'd like to personally test each different company's devices, but if anyone here has input on which e-cigs are better than others, better customer service, etc to help me decide which products I would carry, that would be great.

There are about 90 mall kiosks for PV's across the country. And those are not wholesellers you mentioned, they are retailers and the first three's companies' products are quite poor. You want to buy bulk from companies in China. Here are a few to check out and some I know do supply some of the online retailers:

RUYAN Brown e-cigar with 25pc Cartridges - RUYAN e-cigar kit - Heaven-gifts.com Ruyandirect.com Best E-smoking Shop

Shenzhen Sailebao Technology Co., Ltd. - Electronic cigarette, mini electronic cigarette, E-cigarette

Note: manual switch PV's are better in almost all cases than auto switch PV's.

Ya, I had the same bright idea. Now I am starting to doubt my whole entrance into this e-cig arena. I didn't want to be a huge business, but I did want to try and get some friends to try some and people at work.

I recently placed and order with Trans-Power International through Jasmin Guo and am starting to regret even looking into buying from an agent. I don't know if the problem is with the me, the agent, the bank...

My first attempt to send money overseas via wire transfer from my bank was rejected. I thought that would be the end of it and my money returned to my account. That is not the case. They end up resending it again until someone actually signed for it in China. Now my bank states the money is in the Chinese hands and I am stuck with an agent that states she does not have the money.

It could be that it is still the weekend, and the money might actually be there, just not accessible to her, or I could be the newest memeber of the scam market. Who knows. I did my best to research her and her company. I seen the company name posted here once or twice and did as much research as I could on a foreign company. But here I sit, out a fair amount of money. Nothing too outrageous that would break me, but still enough to upset me.

Hopefully she will turn out to be the honest person everyone I spoke with stated. If not, I think I'm packing it in and getting rid of everything... All my cigs, liquids, domains, and going back to $8 a pack analogs. At least then I know I am only getting ripped off of days of my life, not my hard earned money.
