Anyone tried the 905 yet?

Any feeling on them, or any tips? I just ordered one for my little Bro's Christmas present, I can't wait for it to get here. It's his first e-cig, he loves my xhaler and borrowed my 510 at thanksgiving after I got my xhaler. I know I'm gonna be a little jealous that he has a new toy I don't, but at least I get to test it when it gets here to make sure it's all working well...

I've heard decent things about them elsewhere. You get what you pay for. Sure, it's a "mod", but it's a cheap Chinese mod.

It'll definitely be better than a normal battery, though...that's for sure.



Standard battery < Chinese mod < US mod......imo

I bought one and have had it for a few days. It is a decent 3.7v device. It is almost identical in size to my SD. It produces good vapor and the 14500 battery lasts pretty long. I have some nicosticks that I made and they use the same battery. I like the 14500 battery for 3.7v operation. I don't know why but I think it makes a pv hit harder than some other batteries at the same voltage. For the price, it is a great little device. The only thing that I don't really care for is the red led light.

I have one... and I like it... its my work vape since I don't really wanna bring my others to work.

like the other posts its a Chinese product... but the battery it uses is the same for other mods so THATs a plus... it definitely wouldn't replace an american made mod, but its priced right

and definately better than regular ecig batts IMO

I got mine yesterday morning. So far, I'm impressed-the build quality is higher than expected, and the battery life and vapor production are awesome so far-although the batts aren't broken in yet, so hopefully it'll get even better.

These 14500 batts are known for running at a slightly higher voltage when fully charged...around 4v or so. Charging time on them isn't too bad, maybe twice the time of a standard 180-280mah batt.

I did read somewhere else on this forum that these units were automatically turning on and subsequently burning people...(http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/healthcabin/53091-dse905-self-immolation.html)the manufacturers' solution is to turn off the locking switch on the end when not in use-apparently when left on, the whole unit is on and it burns out the microchip.

Got mine, vapin on the cart that came with it "low" I was shocked by the flavor that came with it it wasnt horrible at all! I am pleasantly surprised by this model...cant wait to see what the Greencarts do on this! I will be doing review soon on this!
I still favor my Xhaler at 5volts with the 801 cart but for my greencig carts this may be my ticket!

Thanks for all the input everyone! And thanks j4mmin for the heads up, I'll be sure to let him know. I won't be that jealous, cause I love my xhaler, I just couldn't afford one for him and I wanted him to be fully stocked w/ liquid, carts, attys etc. Knowing him he'll probably wait till he's out to reorder and I'll end up giving him some of my juice or one of my attys to hold him over .

BTW are they flat tip or round carts that come with it?

The only thing that I don't really care for is the red led light.

I love the red light up now if they would make in pink I would be set!
I plan on playing with this to my liking.. gonna go through stash of scrapbooking stuff and nail art..hmmm I want a fairy on it!

Adding to cart! I love the soft ones and I actually was pretty impressed with the 801 carto I got with my Xhaler.. that is what I vape my Drewbacco with!

I really think for anyone choosing between kits 510, 901 and the nomad this is a GREAT option at an unbeleivable price.. this think kicks but compared to my manual 901 and manual 510!!
Also I really really love my carto's on this little mod.. dont hesitate I have been vaping on it for a week and I may just pick another one up after xmas!

Seriously for the extra money do yourself a favor and get the Xhaler..LIFETIME WARRANTY.. MADE IN THE USA I thought it was a great little mini mod unit for people to start with and I still do.. I wasnt aware of these issues until today.. maybe Drew will adress them. I have had NO isssues thus far with it and it does vape well..I will just be sure to remove atty before dropping in my purse.

I have two of the 905 on order for gifts.Someone on here told me if you put the batteries in backwards and it still works to send it back or you will have the problem with it turning on on its own.Hope they work for my buddies as well as ya'lls

There is no simple fix. Its not a small issue like a switch that sticks/shorts.

What happens is the logic in the electronics is messed up, so its applying power even when the switch is not pressed. you could gut it an rewire the whole thing yourself, but....

You should contact your vendor to get an assurance that the models shipped have been fixed and tested, then keep a close eye on them yourself.

Install the battery backwards (positive away from the atty) and if it turns on and doesn't turn off, send it back.

HELL YEAH.. best at 5 volts and yes you can use the adapter..best with "my Mod" IMO you just cannot vape long drags because it will burn p the cart.. but believe me a 2 second hit is WAY enough and if you need more you can let go of button and before exhaling hit the button again and take another inhale.. but I tried and I cant handle 2 inhales..LOL I am a weaklin! There is NO comparison to the Xhaler and you wont want for anything after getting it, you will wish you started there.. I just figured it would be a good mini (next step) to the Xhaler.. but if you can afford go right for the Big Gun!
I still do like my Nomad but I want to read more now, I know I haven't experienced issues ....
