Revolver has some seriously good clove flavors. Their "clove black" bears the same name as dekang's, but it doesn't bear any resemblance to dekang's juice at all. It's about halfway between an old style black (before the ban) and an old style bali-hai. Not quite enough 'punch' for me, but tasty and nostalgic.
Their 'red dragon clove' is a potent, hot, sweet clove kretek that resembles the old Djarum Internationals (used to come in a red tin, unfiltered and hand rolled, before Sampoerna sued Djarum because Sampy had their own 'international' brand first). This is quite a nostalgic vape for me that takes me back to my days in college.
Mixing the two together, 70% clove black with 30% red dragon resulted in a dead ringer for the old school blacks, which were my standard for years.
The problem, of course, with revolver, is that you pay through the nose for their juices. However, until I find something equally as good, I'm willing to pay their prices.
myfreedomsmokes has a djarum cherry and a djarum vanilla. Both of these are spot on - just like the old kreteks by the same name. Vanillas were my absolute favorite, for the few years they were available. Then they got changed to djarum gold, which wasn't the same. Then came the ban, and everything went cigar/cigarello.
In search of a better priced alternative for the damn near double priced revolver liquid, Imma try the kretek blends mentioned above.
