Thats cool. Tell me if I'm being thick but would a rechargable portable charger be an option (alot of charging I know)? Something about the size of your battery pack that you can take out with you and have a spare battery on charge. Could it possibly cut the need to take 4 batteries out with you. You could just take 2 and swop them into the charger when needed. Maybe it could be part of the mains charger so you just take the docking part with you. As I said, not technically minded so I may be talking c**p.

Have you seen some of the other homemades on here? All you clever people should get together, see if you can do what this manufacturers can't! ;)
You might try something like this with a USB e-cig or maybe the new K.I.S.S. box.
http://www.bixnet.com/misihicabapa.html Probably a far cry from any battery pack you'd get from e-cig.

Hi all, Sorry i haven't been on to update you on the gamucci stephy only i have just moved house and been quite busy as you can imagine decorating and living out of boxes :). Anyway i am still using the e cigarette and it seems to be working ok, sometimes it smokes better than other times which is a bit frustrating when i cant get a good hit of smoke, don't know if they all do this or whether it is down to the battery power, I cant say if this is a great e cigarette as its the first one i have used so can not compare it to others,I found a cheap replacement parts/cartridge seller but not gamucci named although i have been assured they fit. I should receive them this week so will let you know how it goes. :)

I've got 2 Gumucci e-cigs. The classic and the micro. The micro is a complete waste of time and very disappointing. It produces very little vapour and was a big waste of money. I got it from iwantoneofthose.com who have zero after sales service on these as they say ‘Please note that as per our T&Cs, we cannot accept returns on unwanted items once used.’ When I told them I thought it was faulty they said ‘We do not believe it is faulty’.

I find it incredible that they show a promotional video of the classic in action with plenty of vapour which the micro simply isn’t up to the job of creating. Now I don’t know whether the micro is faulty or not but I believe it is let down on 2 fronts. From my own observations the atomizer isn’t very good and nor are the cartridges.

I bought some Janty Yentl cartridges Marlboro flavour (I smoked Marlboro before) which look pretty identical to the Gumucci Micro cartridges and putting one of these on the Gamucci produced a lot more vapour than the Gamucci cartridges can.
I also have a super mini e-cig which bellows out smoke but I didn’t like the flavour. Putting one of the Janty Yentl cartridges on that produced 2 to 3 times the vapour that the Gamucci Micro could.

The Gamucci classic though I have found to be quite good. I’ve had no problems with it at all. The vapour produced is good although I wouldn’t say it is like a cigarette as it is far too smooth to what I am used to. Some may find that to be a good point though. The cartridges have lasted well as have the batteries.

The only issue I would have with Gamucci apart from the micro being crap is according to their website the guarantee covers the batteries and charger but there is no mention of the atomizer being covered at all.

Are you sure you're talking about Gamucci? There is no such thing as Gamucci micro at their site...

The Janty Yentl cartridges are completely different from the Super Mini cig cartridges. Are you sure you have the super mini and not the mini ? I have a super mini cig and I don't like the flavour either, so if this works I will give it a go for sure.

I realise that the Janty Yentl cartridges are different but I bought them primarily to use with my Gamucci micro but thought I would try with the the super mini cig just to see what it would be like. It did work and tasted better but to be honest it was a lot harder draw on the cigarette.

I also bought a Sedansa Nano II which I received today. The cartridges for these are a lot like the super mini and while I was waiting for the Nano II batteries to charge I tried one in the super mini. I got the Marlboro flavour ones again and they are a much better taste than the super mini cartridges. They are quite strong though and do hit the back of your throat like a Red Marlboro would which is good for me but down to personal taste.

In the picture below is my super mini cigarette and 2 cartridges. The top one is the cartridge that came with the super mini and the bottom one is the Sedansa Nano II cartridge.

Excuse the quality but it was taken on my mobile phone.

These Nano II ones may be a good alternative to the super mini ones and come in three different flavours.

On a side note, I was contacted directly by a Director of Gamucci after seeing how disappointed I was with the micro and they believe the one I got is faulty and are sending me out a replacement. 10/10 for Gamucci for that, 0/10 for IWOOT who weren't interested in any problems I had.

Hello Philip, thanks for all the info and the picture :) One more question though, do you really have to draw that much harder ? Do you think I should avoid using the Yentl cartridge with the super cig ? Because I don't like the super cig type of cartridges and I would prefer something like the Yentl or mini cig cartridge.

Well i have now sorted the problem out with my Gamucci classic, The problem was that the atomiser just needed cleaning out which i found out how to do on the forums ( just a swill in methylated spirits)and its now working absolutely brilliant, I now get loads of smoke from it. The cheaper none named cartidges i purchased from ebay fit great to and they are a lot cheaper to buy than the gamucci make ones.

the gamucci is just a rebadged classic type generic.. it should work as good as any.. for UK users the pillbox dude sells the same thing but cheaper on ebay.. nobody has said a bad thing about him..

as for issues.. they all have issues.. they should be sold as cheap semi disposable items.. when u work out the long term running costs factor in either the super high initial (guarantee) price or the price of (no guarantee) spare parts..

the devices are very similar no matter what u pay for them.. with heavy use a very short life.. for occasional party smoker use a longer one..

heavy users will hit the problems.. batteries can be dead on arrival.. two out of the six i got from pillbox were.. he instantly sent me two more thow.. he does answer his emails..

he views the things he sells as semi disposable items and cheap enough to replace when they go wrong as they inevitably will.. an atomizer is around a fiver and batteries around eight quid.. his carts are good value and dont taste bad.. but taste is a personal thing..

trog

ps.. order spares in advance.. u will need them.. fact
