I'm thinking, instead of going fatter for HV, why not longer? My basic idea came after making a true PT out of some spare parts and a hijacked RCA cable end. I housed the "ugly work" in a silver tube left from a modified hookah.
The tube was Identical to the batteries on my 510 in diam but something like 9" long...
SO what would stop someone from stacking three (or however many you desire) stock 3.7V batteries in series, and put the appropriate resistor between them and the atty?
I'd like to see this done at around 4.2V as I found the vape most enjoyable on my laptop's USB(4.2v), it was a bit too harsh and lacked flavor out of a true 5v wall adapter.
Oh, and I think I have a hybrid atty that was never supposed to be released.. everytime I see a new cleaning method I try it on this one, so my others aren't harmed.
It's been bathed in coke, crest, PGA, vodka, boiling water, blown through, 6V roasted DRY and with peroxide, dried in front of a 1500W space heater, dropped, had thick failed homemade juice that left horrible residue on it in one cart full... And after a lil peroxide and a 6V dry burn... this little trooper is the most reliable atty I have! Food for thought as I read about all these popped or weak atties...
