Dry burning and washing a few times should clear it up. Its business as usual but it can alter the flavor as it gets worse

Take post off, remove top wicks rinse. Dry burn till the gunk burns and flakes off rinse, dry burn again, then i usually take a toothpick and brush off any chunks, rinse, dry, clean top wicks, put it back together.

Silica wicks don't burn from dry burning

Thanks. Just refilled one, the other is about half empty. Next empty I'll have to do this. Again, thanks

The cap seals the air tube from the tank liquid to prevent flooding and gurgling.

Cut the cap down a little or cut a couple of "V"s 180 degrees apart for the wicks to fit in.

I just flipped the cap upside down on the coil so that it slides up onto the tank air tube. This keeps the lip on the cap away from the wicks.

Excuse me, is the top wick supposed to come apart into each little tiny strand ? Or have I done something wrong ? Ain't no way I'm getting each of these little bity strands back together ! Maybe I'll just get a few more coils.... although a week and a half is a little depressing.

The free floating "flavour wicks" are originally two separate bunches of strands, but will surely separate after a few cleanings. T3 especially is very easy to re-wick, so I would recommend getting some wick material for re-wicking. Many ecig shops sell 1mm silica wick, and readily available cotton and bamboo yarn/gauze/pad are even better in my mind. The coil base itself will long outlive the wicks.

mrelwood, how are you rethreading the cotton through the coil? I think I read you made a tool, was wondering how/what it was.

I understand that a "needle threader" works in a similiar manner. My tool is just 8" of a thin guitar string tightly bent as a V. I push the corner of the V through the coil, insert half of the target wick thickness inside the V, and gently pull the tool back doubling the wick into the coil.

Not my invention though, don't remember who I got it from here at ECF.

Thank you mrelwood! Didnt even think of a needle threader as I'm sure the wife has one in her sewing box!

edit: Just went back and reread your post and you mentioned the needle threader there, sorry!

Holy cow. Turning the rubber wick cover thingy upside down really works. I just refilled my T3 and dang, it works better than new. I'm passing this on to those I know who've bought it. Awesome

Thanks for passing this along Mike. It seems to be working great for me. The coil I've been using for about a week was giving me a lot of burnt hits, but since I turned the cup seal upside down it works perfect. I've been calling this my upside down cup mod.

Does anyone know a good place to get replacement wick for the T3? I somehow lost the flavor wicks for one of mine when I was dry burning it.

Second that! Even gives more vapor!!!

Been using this for over a day and I still haven't gotten a burnt hit yet. But yeah, definitely even more vapor, almost made me cough the first few times I inhaled.
