New Panasonic 18650 Hybrid IMR batteries? Panasonic CGR18650-CH 18650 2250mAh Li-ion 3.6v laptop | eBay
ebay-18650-panasonic.jpg

Listed a 18.6W X 65.2L

I am concerned that they are to wide to fit inside the GGTS.

AW are listed as 18.52 and they are just about the most you can get in there.

After my experience with the jackets getting peeled back I am leery to try anything without confirmation or a caliper which I no longer have.

My Callie's Kustoms 3100mAh cells are too tight to fit in my GG's without removing the sticky label. They fit after removing the label but are still tight in the telescope section due to the diameter of the protection circuit although i have found they aren't such a tight fit after a couple of weeks of use with daily removal and replacement for a top up charge.

OK but if others did not innovate to push the limit and make better than the best you would be driving a Model T.

I would rather drive a model T honestly the crap they make and sell these days nothing but plastic and aluminum... The cars of the old days didnt need crumple zones or airbags cause you could actually run into something and only dent a bumper today the same impact would render the car unrepairable which is why we now pay absurd insurance premiums... Ill take my 72 Chevy C20 over anything new on the market today... So much so that I laugh when lil Hondas and Nissans want to tailgate me cause I know if they do hit me Im just going to have some pretty asian paint on my bumper as they will be calling a tow truck... I do understand what you meant but todays cars are crap IMHO and I feel what makes the GG above and beyond the rest is that it is a simple mechanical mod built to be durable as well as elegant and repairable much like the Model-T and early model autos...

Imagine a car like model T with the ability to accept a mechanism that would make it a modern car when ever you wanted Mr. Thats the limit I want to reach making the VV as I have it in my mind!

I would rather think of the GGVV as say air conditioning for a sherman tank...

FYI, the OP batteries are the exact same ones I posted that I got 10 for $17. CGR18650! They're working GREAT!

Got some of the black Callie's customs, and on the whole I've been very disappointed with them. They seem to drop off pretty fast, and yes, they're too big to fit into the GGTS with the sticker, and even with it off it's a TIGHT fit.

So are you saying that the grey ones are to big or the black 3100's

Yes they could be different. I bought the ones that were 17 bucks for 10, the deal that Chaos posted in another thread.

Yeah I am thinking of reaching out to in that thread, I do not need 10 but if someone wanted to split them up I could be down for 4 of them. I would like to see how well they perform. If they are no good then I think I will get some IMRs
