Yup! I currently use double 30ga twisted coil in my kayfun builds and it's great! Easy to handle, heats up great, fun to make (IMO), and it looks cool!

I currently have a triple 30ga twisted coil waiting for an rda and mech set up which I'm getting soon. It's sitting at .6 ohms, so my MVP can't fire it, lol

would you happen to have a pic of the set up?

Of the triple twisted coil, not at the moment, I'm out of town and it's sitting on my desk.

But both of my coils, I learned from RipTripper's videos, except he used 32ga wire.

Unless you thought I meant dual or tri-coils, which isn't what I meant. I just used 2 and 3 strands of wire for my coils lol

I've wanted to try it. Do all twisted coils come out to be sub ohm? I haven't gotten into mechs yet so I'm obviously limited by my mvp

7 or 8 (can't remember which) wraps of twisted 30ga puts me at 1.6-1.8 ohms, my MVP handles it fine!

I thought you meant 3 coils, using twisted wire LOL i've seen dual, single coils in a KFL+

I went on a twisting frenzy awhile back and premade a bunch of different styles. I've made all the following, but am currently down to only about five or six different types of twisted.

30 gauge:
2x30, 3x30, 4x30, 2x2x30

28 gauge:
2x28, 3x28, 2x2x28

26 gauge:
2x26, 2x2x26

(the 2x2x builds are two pieces of wire twisted together, each of which is already a twisted wire of the same guage)

Mixed gauge:
Clapton coil with 26g and 30g
30/28 x 2 (one strand of 30 and 28 twisted together, then two strands of that wire twisted together)
30/28/26 all twisted together.

Here are some pics of random twisted builds and wire, I'll add a second post since you an only do 5 pics per.

I actually just built one right before i found this thread lol but i twisted .28 together on my Igo (with a much larger drilled out hole than stock) and it reads out at .62 ohms at 6 wraps. It's really a beast and will definitly be trying it again. Might even try twisting three pieces together just to see what happens. :)
