So...I've decided to give the e-cigs a try but I'm not sure where to begin. I'm 32 and I've been smoking a pack a day of camel lights since I was around 15 or 16.
Currently I have my eye on the Dura-C XL set from Janty for 68.95 and plan to get a couple of bottles of CML liquid at 9.95 each...
Good choice? Anything I might have left out that I will need?
Thanks...

What they said ;)

Samples and more samples. Although I've had things in the sample with names I'd be certain I'd like I didn't and some I figured I'd never like I did. I'm somewhat new and I've seen a number of posts explaining my tastes will change over time. So those samples will get revisited in a few months and see what I like then. I suggest that you don't order too many large bottles until you've actually vaped it to see what you think of the taste.

I'd argue minimum is 2 batteries and 2 atomizers but I'd recommend a third battery. That way you can have 2 flavors while still having a charged ready to go battery. Don't know the Dura-XL but make sure you get a 2nd battery if its one of those large battery mods.

Humm... I suppose I should do some research on how these things actually work. I need to add the nicotine to the flavors? They don't some with that?

yes, the juice will come with the nicotine in it, but you will be asked to choose the strength: 8mg, 12mg, 18mg, 24mg...etc (variations of those numbers). Just choose the 24mg. OR if the website says low, med, high it's harder to tell exactly what they mean by that, but generally "high" means 18-24mg.;)

I am no expert a I just got mine yesterday but I will say this with absolute certainty.

DO get extra juice and a variety pack is a great idea.
The basic tobacco flavors suck!!
Also DO get 24mg although the 18mg I got seems to be enough for me.
I'm surprised as I was a heavy smoker.

The key to me is the juice.
Good luck!

The Janty Dura is their branded 510, good model.

You might look around for 510's from other vendors at a better price, although I think the Janty warranty is good and might make that choice worth the money.

I have several 510's and although I have KR808's and 901's and 801's and several mods, I still find myself liking the 510 atty.

I agree with the previous poster about the USB passthrough, although I use mine with a power pack (Kensington) and not plugged in to the computer, but an extra advantage to the PT is using it in the car, cig lighter usb adapters can be found cheap at Walmart and it really helps your rechargable batts go further if you drive quite a bit.

As far as flavors go, it's hard for anyone of us to recommend a particular flavor to you, as everyone's tastes are different.

After receiving your first unit, you will soon come to understand more about your needs, and will soon be sampling various flavors and strengths to find the one(s) that suit you.

Good luck with your vaping and give yourself time, follow the forum for info, special deals, contests and lots of encouragement.

Never be hesitant to ask a question, but again, the most important thing is to ENJOY !

Welcome!! :) I was told to buy a little extra of everything when I was looking to buy! I bought 2 starter kits (one for my husband and one for myself), 6 extra attys, an extra wall charger, usb charger, car charger. I just ordered extra batteries and some more juice flavors to try. I think we got lucky and actually liked the marb flavor we bought right away, but I want some sweet flavors! hehe
You are gonna love vaping!! :D

the 510 is a great starter, as it's one of the most popular styles. Cignot has the best deal around for a starter kit. I don't know what the shipping rate is for overseas.
.
You can get sample juice sets at some of the different vendors (here's one). Also, check the classifieds here, that is where I was able to get a ton of different samples and flavors (plus extra batts, attys, and a mega charger)
The suppliers forum is a great place for daily deals and specials. Click here.

Good luck! and welcome :)

Hi Floyd, nice to see another person in Germany. I vape the 510 and I love it. If you have an APO address most suppliers will ship to you cheap (sometimes free). Do a little shopping around (cignot.com rocks) and find the best deal. Along with the initial kit I'd recomend at least another full ecig. Viking Vapor has good juice and you can get them in 7.5ml size for 3 bucks I think. Anyway, I think you're gonna love your ecig. Good luck!

Thanks for all the input...
After doing some research I decided to get a Joye 510 since it got good reviews on youtube, it was slightly cheaper at 49.99 and it has a led light at the end. I got it at awsome vapor, and I also got a bottle of camle juice 24 mgs and turkish blend 36 mgs. They also threw in free samples of RY4 and Coffee, although I think the bottles are much smaller.
I was going to get their sample pack but they only offer it in 18MG. Also my idea is to wean myself from cigs so I'm not sure I want to start using different flavors. Everything, including an extra carrying case cost me 83.00. Shipping was 5.00.
I ordered the 36mg because I think I might crave a real cig for a while as I get used to the E-cig and I figure going heavy on the nic for a while will help. Logical? Eventually I hope to lower the nic amounts.

After only 26 hours of using my 510, I can strongly recommend the need for at least 2 batteries. I would also suggest getting a higher nicotine liquid. I find that the extra nicotine is keeping my craving for analogs under control.

Last night I placed an order for a passthrough since I work on my PC so much, and I also ordered some different flavors of juice to see what the differences are.

I think you will like the 510 kit you got. I have fallen in love with mine, although not enough to give it a name yet. :D
