Roscoe, Just noticed the Narda on your site, but it's sold out.
Am on the ECF list, and thought we would be notified for payment.
Did I miss out? Are more coming in?
Thanks

Hmmm, I'm on the list too so hopefully being sold out on the site is because all of us are on the list & we'll get the first round?

The first order is scheduled to arrive early next week. You haven't missed anything [emoji6] I'm trying to get the site ready for all the new folks that will be coming to squonking.[emoji15]

From that pic the wire almost looks copper in color... I wonder if it is just the lighting or this is normal? Do you have anything else built in that Ω range to compare it to? Would also be interested that now that you have vaped it, what it meters out at? Is it still .27Ω or did it raise slightly like A1 and Ni80 does?
Measures 0.26 ohms now. I don't have anything else built with the SS wire yet, but may have time to try some parallels later today.

You guys gave me incentive to drag out the SS wire I had sitting around. Built dual coils for the Stumpy, 3.0 mm ID, 0.5 SS 316L, 9 wraps. Meters out to 0.27 ohms, which is a bit low, but it vapes great.

What gauge is your SS? I'm looking to get some, but still trying to figure out which way to go. I use mainly 28g Kanthal, almost always dual parallels.

I think this 0.5 mm wire is equivalent to about 25 gauge. I have some 26 and some 28 gauge that have yet to try.

I had to drop down a gauge when I went to SS. I use 26awg & twisted 28awg in SS. I found the 28awg too thin to work with in SS.
Is the 28 ga SS springy to work with? That's been my experience thus far with Ti wire, and why I pushed it to the side.

Sooo...no build pix, it would just be embarrassing.
But I figured, try all the new stuffs at once...why not.
And it's vaping, just fine!

First = The Sapor is nice. Not difficult to build - the 4-posts are actually good for a spaz like me.
And nice job Roscoe - it squonks VERY NICELY, and I'm enjoying having a little bit of a well - with some of my other atties, I literally squonk like every other puff... As you can see, I don't run TC so I don't want to go all the way dry to see how many hits I CAN get - but it's certainly more!

Second - Chuff is, as expected, too airy for me, but I actually am really liking the metal tip. I definitely like the options: black chuff, metal "pretty wide bore," or use your own tip!

sapor1.jpg

Third - Flavor is bangin'. Have to play a little more to decide if it's, say, comparable to my Manta - that'll be a little tricky because I'm running it a bit more open (more air AND more vapor) than a Manta will go.

Also - built it with dual 28g SS316, 7 wraps for 0.4 ohms.
Nice instant heat-up, warm but not hot - pretty much what I was looking for...I was just wanting a .4 with a little more surface area than I get with Kanthal - but without adding "ramp up time". This is fast enough I probably would try 1 gauge heavier. The screw did cut a leg first try - it's pretty danged thin wire... Do they MAKE 27? With 26, I'd need like 11 wraps - and that's a lot more wire to heat...

Okay I'll bite. What is that mod...looks pretty sweet!

As for the SS wire gauges, I got 0.5, 0.46, and 0.42 mm all from a UK vendor. That's all they had in stock at the time. Haven't kept up with Lightning Vapes or Temco to see if they carry any SS now...they didn't when I ordered these spools a while back.

AAAAND I've stumbled my way in here thanks to train 2. Any Sapor left? Also how's the flavor on it? Looks like the chamber is a helluva bigger than I would like, but it might just be a function of the deep well

Welcome Kiwi[emoji1] I don't have any Sapor in stock ATM. I can snag one off eBay if anyone wants one done. I only tested out the one I converted briefly on my series mod so I can't give a good opinion on flavor. I can say it's a very well made rda for the money and the afc works perfectly from wide open to full shut off.

How much are we looking at for one BF-ED and sent to North Carolina? And a NarDa style. If it's under 50 each, sign me up!

I was concerned that flavor may not be so good due to size of the Sapor, but I was wrong again. I'm very impressed with the top feed version I have.

I'd be in for a couple if you can get the funky colors!
