It should be ready for juice and a battery! Bottles were boiled and everything.

Sounds good! Think I'll name it "Punkie" Original...huh? LOL

Hey roscoe, Avion 002 is in my mailbox waiting on me to get home from work later. Anything I should know before I "crank" her up? [emoji4]

Got "Punkie" up and running Riscoe! It's a fabulous mod y'all! Pics don't do it justice. [emoji4] Everything fits and squonks really good. Very sturdy little mod. Had to take a rubber glove to get the top section off with my crappy ol crippled up hands. LOL [emoji6] I imagine it will loosen a little with use. It's actually good that it's a little tight tho.

Will post some pics tomorrow after I polish it up. Sitting in my mailbox all day in this NC heat and humidity put a nice little patina on it. LOL Actually, the patina looks pretty good. But for the pics, I'll polish it up. Slapped a Vertex with a copper sleeve on it running duals at .49 ohms. Hits really sweet and the switch is smooth. I am a thumb squonker and just palmed the switch with no problem.

This is well thought out mod. Even has vent holes in the bottom. It's really put together well. [emoji4]

Thanks roscoe!

if you keep the tubes polished where they slide into the top cap it helps with getting on and off. Copper against copper tends to gall a little. If one was to be in a clean environment mostly I suspect a little noalox for lube would work nice as well. I am around dirt all day so no noalox for me....

FYI. I found Never Dull wadding polish to be the easiest way to polish these quickly.

Keeping that area clean also keeps the mod performing well because it has to conduct the negative circuit thru there as well.

The switch is designed so that you don't have to worry about button mashing as well so mash that bad boy to your hearts desire. It's a 1/8 inch rod contacting another rod that is fully supported.

That vertex looks good on there!

Works good on it. Those are nice attys and a little underrated. It's one of my many Chowderhead attys. I wanted to match that copper. LOL

I have a Manta 2 that would go really good but it's on a TMod.

I run a manta on mine but occasionally I run a nuppin with a copper afc. A brass Nuppin v2 with a copper afc would look crazy good[emoji6] or maybe a copper derringer?

I have a brass nuppin but it's on a Woodvil. And a brass Derringer on my brass TMod. LOL Now a copper Derringer would be the one! I really like the Derringers but I don't think you can get copper or brass caps for the new ones yet. I would def pull the trigger on one if they did [emoji6]

My local B&M sells clones in copper. I don't know if praxis is making authentic copper caps or not.

I will research a little tonight. I may start carrying a few bf attys and/or top caps that will match the Avion well.
