I had insurance at my business for just such a thing. Their property, their insurance, their liability. But that's an entirely new set of problems. I'd none the less be contacting my insurance agent and let them work on assessed liability.

Yep special kind of sleezebag to steal people's belongings at the car repair shop...I've seen those special types end up being the guys you trusted to repair your truck in the first place,, extra primordial oozebags
My insurance company said it should be their liability but some businesses don't have the proper insurance. If I can't get them to take responsibility I'm looking at a total loss as my insurance won't cover any of it :-(Fuch,,,really sorry to hear that

Looking on the bright side of things....never once had a craving for a stinky through all the stress of the past week! I did scare the crap out a a poor young cashier at the truck stop when I popped a gasket ......over her refusing to take a Canadian quarter for her overpriced crappy cup of coffee.
