You definitely need to come visit. It's crazy how little has changed in some areas. When I took the kids up to my old stomping grounds last year I was amazed. Of course some parts of Seattle have changed and grown but a lot of it is still the same. The old Tower Records is gone, which makes me sad, but the Pink Elephant Car Wash is still there!!!
The Pink Elephant!! Haven't thought of that in ages.....when I do make it back....we need to go to Saltys on Alki....

You can't outgrow a bee allergy because the venom stays in your system and it compounds every time you get stung, apparently. The last time I was stung was supposedly the last time I will be able to sorta kinda walk away without a major anaphylactic reaction. Problem is, I don't know what kind of bee it is that gives me that reaction! Needless to say, I just avoid all bees and bee-type creatures, lol.
Well then I had better talk to my doc about an epi pen, cause I haven't been stung by any honey or.bumblebees since I was a kid, but that bumblebee almost ended me....no really, I was already beginning to wheeze by the time we got to the drs office, the swelling was getting bad

I love the milder temperatures here, too. I could not even imagine having over 100-degree days for weeks on end like @redrebel821 and @Kprthevapr have every summer. I would melt!!! I love the storms, too, but I sure wish we got more thunder and lightning. We hardly ever get it in Grays Harbor. Bums me out.
I love it out here! I know the devil leaves in da summertime, but he's a wimp!
This is what I really love about the desert...you never see the same sunset twice...it's always beautifully different :D

WOOOOOWWW!!!!! I have 1 or 2 from here but nothing like that!!! I love me some sun dog! The #1 reason I want to go to the desert is for the sunsets. I have only seen desert sunsets in movies but it was enough to put that on my bucket list!!

I know. I am supposed to carry one, too, but I get one and carry it until it expires and then forget to get a refill. Not good. we are bad allergy patients, lol.

That's the way. I avoid bees and the like cause I don't know if I am and I don't wanna find out...and wasp just scare the holy geebs outta me anyways.

Me too! And hornets!! They are straight-up MEAN!!
Me, 3... Lol...and Doc says no epi pen because he doesn't like giving them to anyone over 45 because then it can induce heart arrhythmias. So he'd rather I take my chances with my throat closing...lol

I was until I went out to check the mail, lol. I think that's probably as far out as I want to venture today. I thought we were supposed to be past the storm period today, but apparently not! It's icky outside. I much prefer to stay inside and wrapped in a blankie, lol.

Like my granddaughter always says ...give me my blankie because I want to be comfy cozy!!!
