Cutting trees is okay, having to deal with what you cut...not so much.

Wood is a very efficient form of heat because it heats you multiple times....when you cut it, when you haul it, when you stack it, when you carry it inside and when you burn it...lol

Oh, lets not forget when you clean up the stinkn' mess it makes in the house...

We have started getting our wood for this winter. Snakes are an issue for sure, and with the leaves falling the Copperheads blend in very well.

I just started processing wood for the winter too. Yeah, slobberheads as we call them. We have a unique pit viper here in AR. The Sidewindingcoppermouthrattlehead. Legendary in these parts.

Yeah, but they mostly feed on jackalopes and snipes, so if you see either of those critters around, you know that snake is near too. Easy to avoid.

Snakes aren't too bad in northern AR from my experiences, my mother in law lives in Ola and I don't believe I have ever seen one there. Now in southern/central AR, well that's a whole 'nother story, cottonmouths and copperheads all over the place.

I'm using Ti until NiFe52 becomes available or until I win a Reliant or some other tcr adjustable mod, then I'll probably use Stainless Steel.

Ni has no advantage over Ti, quite the opposite actually. Contrary to popular belief Ti is dryburnable at low wattage. I've been using the same Ti coil in my STmini for over 2 months now; dryburned and rewicked it a dozen times or so and no sign of it giving up anytime soon. Ni also is very low res which causes us to wind larger coils with thinner wire which makes it very difficult to clean and rewick. Also, the lower res and higher tcr of Ni makes it the worst candidate for temp control accuracy. If you have a "nickel only" tc mod and want to run Ti just turn down your temp about 120°f lower than what you would for Ni, then adjust up from there.

More than you prolly wanted to know but I like sharing:)
thanks ...I was curious was most people prefer and you explained it well.

I get a little nervous aound poisonous snakes, and definitely if they catch me off guard. Although, I have never been afraid of snakes, and have always found them very interesting. I think that they can be very beautiful creautures :) I will have to look that one up sometime, because I am intrigued!
I would rather see a snake than see a grandaddy long legger ;) lol

Alabama
My daughter has a beautiful 4.5 foot amber/lavender corn snake here. Her name is nagini, after voldemorts pet from the harry potter movies
Before the move to Alabama we had a 12 foot Burmese python. One whole wall of my living room was her enclosure. She was beautiful but it took multiple people to safely handle her lol

On a vape type topic. I am loving my reliant! Very comfortable hand feel, excellent battery life and with the three different modes it's becoming the only mod I carry/use lol

The Lab
I have some beautiful cottonmouth water moccasins in the beaver ponds below my lake. Only juveniles have came into the yard, but 2 of my dogs have been bitten. I killed the culprit and the dogs are fine now.
I've seen em this big at the shallow end of the pond. This guy looks like " Leonard, Take the d... picture!!!"
