Venison roast was our usual norm at Christmas, but this year we decided to go with kinda a pot luck, my mother made the statement that everyone had to "make" a dish they have never brought before, didnt matter what it was, just be different....but I luck out cause I am supplying the ham....and I didnt even have to buy it, my employer bailed me out there lol
It sounds like you will have an interesting holiday ...that really sounds fun. I worked with someone whose mom made the menu ...wrote it all on sheets of paper and everyone picked a paper with what they had to prepare .... So some had to bake pies while someone else cooked a bag of corn!! I liked that idea!!! My brother and I share holidays so I never have to do 2 in a row..I had Easter and he had thanksgiving so it's back to me for Christmas!!! This year was a bummer cause I just stopped in for an hour and packed our dinners to go cause hubby was in the hospital but he gave me enough turkey and sides for days!!!

I am making Mexican food because that is what I do best and my family loves. You cannot get good Mexican food in Georgia so we have a feast of home made Tamales and Chimichanga's. Fresh homemade salsa and guacamole
Mexican is great ...I love it!!

I am going to my Mom and Dads for Christmas. I have every year :) I am actually going down Tuesday and staying until Friday! My Mom cooks her stuffed turkey, her special big ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, greenbeans, homemade crout, sweet potatoes, pork n beans, pickled green beans and corn, carrots, potato salad, macaroni salad, and her homemade biscuits. There is a few other things i cannot remember... Then she makes 3 to 5 different pies, angel good cake, oreo dessert called dirt, pumkin or strawberry roll, fruit cake, and a few miscellaneous candies. She always makes enough for everyone to take home leftovers with them :) My Mom is such a wonderful cook!

Good day in Georgia, at least no rain, thankful for that. Have a sick kitty that will not eat and having to force feed. Not thankful for that. Going to be a hard Christmas if I cannot get this beautiful soul feeling better
Awww. sorry to hear of the sick kitty. If anyone can heal her it would be you. Good luck with her.

Hey, I'm in Georgia, too. South GA and it's too cold for me. Must be even colder where you are.

Northern Georgia, west of Atlanta. It is pretty cold. I am spoiled though, from California so here in Georgia is either too hot or too cold :)

I'm a California transplant as well. From Santa Ana, Costa Mesa area. Then I lived in Atlanta (Chamblee) and now in the beautiful Golden Isles of Georgia. :D

I love it here but still miss SoCal :(

awww..... Balboa Island!! I used to live there, on Opal Avenue, lol. All the streets are named after gemstones. Riding the ferry across to Newport to play at the arcade, sitting on Buddy Ebsen's dock and annoying him as he messed about with his boat... wish I could be a kid again and go back. :D

Good evening. Wish I could say it was a beautiful day here. 45 degrees outside and dropping fast, brrrrrrrr !! That may not seem cold to some but it was 80 degrees here earlier in the week. It's ok though... spring will be here just as fast as winter rolled in. :)
It was cold here tonight too and windy as heck. Our Christmas tree lights that were on the bushes looked like they were dancing with the wind ..lol!! It's supposed to get warmer during the week ...I love this global warming!!
