Hi. Just a quick check in from South Jersey. It's just starting to kick up some wind, off and on rain. Tomorrow morning is when we expect it to really start getting bad. Just having a couple beers and chilling. Keep topping off the batteries just in case. I found the adapter for the car charger, so I should be good. Anyone else riding this wave with me?

I put mine in a cold cup, those cups with the weird liquid or gel inside them that you keep in the freezer. Milk start to freeze to the walls of the cup instantly, you just stir it and you get slushy choc milk :) no waiting!

SLUSH MUGS! I used to have one as a kid, loved drinking root beer or koolaid out of it. I didn't know they still made those, I just assumed whatever crazy chemical they had between the walls was wildly toxic and disappeared into obscurity when they started cracking down on that stuff in the 80's.

I need to find, purchase, and use one on chocolate milk as soon as humanly possible. Thanks for the heads-up!

Dave, I have seen these cups advertised on Nickelodeon and saw them in the local drug store. (Can't remember what they are called) You freeze some cube, add your liquid and shake. It turns the liquid into a slushy.

Slushy Magic. Can't imagine those would taste real good if those cubes broke. Also can't imagine they'd be real easy to clean.

My mother loves them for her pepsi, it's a must have at her house, so much so that when she couldn't find them for a while and my sister kept breaking them, she started to freak out and telling me to look for them everywhere I went... I remember buying her 25 of them in one shot LOL. Now we see them all the time in the summer. She makes me keep some at my house for her to use when she is visiting, this is how I learned how wonderful they were for chocolate milk lol. Now they have all kinds of them. I even have some to-go, lidded versions that I use for my iced mochas, but they aren't nearly as good as the mugs.

Morin' . . . Still trying to wake-up and having coffee . . . .

First, I want to say - THANKS to everyone for their comments . . . :D

Well having been though these thing before - I knew better, but I was hoping that with all the "media hype" I am use to hearing in Florida - I would be able to get out before "Sandy" came to visit . . . Well I made the decission last night to change my travel plans after I "heard" how far the outer bands reached . . .

LONG STORY SHORT - after being disconnected at least 20+ x's calling US Airway on their regular number for four hours, I finally got an automated call from the Airline that my flight was being canceled and they gave me another number to call to change my reservation . . . WOW ! ! ! only a 4 minute wait and finally got a reservation agent . . . So I am staying with a Friend and her son in NYC till Wednesday (then to New Hope for the night) and have a "CONFIRMED" :)lol:   ) flight out of Philadelphia on Thursday night . . .

The REALLY GOOD THING is since I have been though these storms before I can help her out here . . . We have almost everything ready and what we need - however since I am now staying here, I have one quick shopping trip (extra water/food) in a little bit and before "Sandy" really hits tonight . . . So - so far all is good . . . And as long as there is elect I will stay in contact (But from one of my friends in the know - I heard last night that the Mayor here is trying to get ConED to shut down "the grid" at 2 AM so it will be easier to restart the electricity - Don't really understand this - but what the hey who can understand what this mayor does most of the time . . . ;) )

Okay - I can't remember off the top of my head who else is around these parts - but I hope you all have everything YOU NEED and are going to be safe too . . . Let's all stay in contact . . . :D
