hell
A couple months ago, I purchased this kit on a whim to try something new, out of the stream of traditional 510/808/whatever we all love. I didn't think it would be anything special, but I was wrong. I'm not sure how to structure this review, so I will structure it the way I would like to read a review.

The product link is here.

What's in the Kit
-$50
-2 batteries (automatic or manual)
-5 cartomizers
-USB charger, wall charger, car charger

Vapor Quality - 9/10
The vapor of this unit is great. It's very close to my eGo kit. The differences are that the Extreme Kit vapor is warm, which I like. It also produces vapor instantly, unlike the 510, which has to warm up for 1-2 seconds. The Extreme produces vapor right when you inhale. The amount of vapor is great too, just about the same as a 510 - very thick, dense clouds, almost like hookah smoke with a 4-6 second drag! With a 1-second drag, it is more than you'd get with a cigarette. I like this! The taste is great too. Their coffee flavor is phenomenal. I'm also a fan of coffee. I have not yet tried the others, but I did get a cherry disposable, which was amazing too.

Battery life - 9/10
The kit comes with 2 batteries at 280 mah, which for me, one battery is about 3/4 of one day, and sometimes the whole day. The batteries are longer, but I don't think as long as the 510 Mega batteries. I am very happy with these batteries, they last a lot longer than my regular 510 batteries, which stopped holding a full charge a couple months after I got them. These Extreme Kit batteries are very solid, as explained next.

Construction - 9/10
This unit is very structurally solid. I build computers, so I know a flimsy component when I see one, and I have also been across many flimsy e-cigs (gas station/711 ones, cough cough). I am glad to say that this is not one of them! The 2-piece design enhances the structural integrity of this unit. The battery housing is solid, I have dropped it on concrete twice and nothing has happened, aside from minor scratches on the plastic tip, which of course is bound to happen. But no dents, no loosened connections, still in perfect working order. The chargers are heavy and solid, which is great with small parts. The cartomizers are wonderful; large and solid. None of mine have leaked or anything. I did have one cartomizer that wasn't working properly out of the 10 that I ordered, but I got free replacements, which I will mention later.

Service/Policies - 10/10
I had one dead cartomizer out of 10, so I contacted customer service expecting a "sorry" and a wave like I have experienced with all my other electronics that have broken, but instead they shipped me 2 new cartomizers for free the next day. This is because of their 1-year warranty, effective for a year should any parts break down. At first I was worried because I thought it would only be covered by their 30-day return policy, but the 30-day policy is for if you decide you don't like the kit and want to return it completely. They also gave me free shipping since my order was over $30, and a free disposable since my order was over $60. I got my order within 5 days, which is great for free shipping! I could not ask for more in the service department, A+.

Final Verdict - Awesome product and company! Will be a customer until I stop vaping. Overly satisfied, which is the opposite of the norm these days with electronics companies! Great job guys, can't wait to see future products. I haven't seen Apollo's name around here much, hopefully that will change!

I will add pictures when I find my camera, haha.

Thanks smut peddlar. Convinced me to try...what the hell I'm going broke anyway. Found out I really amm npt crazy about the mods so this seems like a good addition.

The Apollo Extreme is my favorite kit. You will not only love the unit, but you will be swept away by the customer service and the unbeatable warranty. Great choice.

I'm curious how the Apollo Extreme compares to other Kr8 models (I assume that it is a Kr8 or Kr8-compatible) ... and, especially, how those expensive cartomizers ($13.50/five-pack)* compare to the best Kr8 cartos, e.g., Bloog MaxX Fusion ($11) or Vapor4Life WOW ($10.50).

* When purchasing at least two packs.

Has anyone reading this thread tried the Apollo and any of these other Kr8s?

I have both the Apollo and the Bloog. I like both of them and think that both perform equally well. The Bloog is better than other KR808's as long as you use MaxxFusion cartos. With generic 808 carts, it's just another battery. The Apollo cannot use generic 808 carts, so it too is limited by its dependence on Apollo carts. I would not waste the extra money to buy a Bloog battery to use with 808 carts because its advantage disappears as soon as the combo cart and battery issue is disturbed. If one wants the full advantage of the Bloog, they are limited to Bloog carts, just as Apollo users are limited to Apollo carts. So, one has to ask if the Bloog and the Apollo are worth it with their limitations. I say that both models are superior to other kr808's as long as the user understands the limitations. For me, the superiority of both models is worth the limitations. Others may not agree. Apollo offers a one year warranty and discounts for carts purchased in volume. I also get Apollo products in 2-3 days with free shipping. I will continue to use both models.

The last time I ordered Bloog cartomizers, the shipping charge was $7.95, so if I want to order one package to try them out, the total cost would be $18.95, not $11. Vapor4Life charges $5.95 for shipping, so the total cost for one pack there would be over $16. At a total cost of $13.50, since Apollo's shipping is free, it is clear that Apollo is the cheapest option. It is misleading to quote the charges you quote here from Bloog and Vapor4Life since it is impossible to actually get those prices after shipping charges are added. Apollo also offers discounts for multiple pack purchases.

Actually the free shipping is for orders above $30, but shipping for one pack of cartomizers to me is $1.71, which is still a cheaper total than the others.
Sorry for that error, but the fact remains that Apollo does not do bait and switch with their prices by adding outrageous shipping fees. I think that says something major about a company's honesty. I try to avoid all companies that charge three times more than actual shipping charges.

I've been vaping for over 2 years now and have bought and used many different kinds of e-cigs and mods. My favorite by far has been the Volcano Inferno, but I still buy new kits. Why? I don't know. I guess I'm just a tech geek. Any way, I purchased Apollo's standard kit a few weeks back and have really enjoyed it. Now, with smut's rave review, I went and bought the extreme. Also because they now have a PCC. I will say that smut is right on all accounts on the extreme. 10 out of 10 in my book. It is by far the best automatic e-cig I've ever purchased.

As far as compatability goes (tech geek in me) it has 901 threads. This means that KR808 cartos will fit the extreme. They don't work though as there is no air flow. I have a 901 to 901 adapter which I tried and my KR808 carts still don't work, but there is air flow (901 to 901 has a hole like a 901 atty). However, with the adapter greencig cartos absolutely rock. The only drawback to that is that set-up is very lllloooonnnnggggg.

The PCC holds 2 batteries (either automatic or manual) with one charging and 5 cartos. It has an LCD display to show case charge level and a light that glows red when you are charging a battery. Just pull the case out of your pocket and see if your battery is still charging. No need to press the button unless you want to see the PCC's charge level. The only drawback that I see is that the cartos sit low in the pack making them hard to remove. Raising the carts about 5/16" does the trick. Just measure and cut a piece cardboard or other material to place in the carto holes of the case.

So far *vape* , so good *vape*.

Glad to see another person loving it!

That's interesting about the other cartomizers, I had no idea. Would the airflow problem matter if you had manual Extreme Kit batteries? I have one manual and one auto.

Tell me how having a puny 250 mah bat makes this a worldbeater?
Never tried 901's kr8's whatever, just get a buzz VV and tie it round your neck with a leather lace!
They'll think your from the future!

If you look really close at the threaded end side by side you'll see a major difference in the two. They both have 4 slots, but the 906 cartos slots run down the sides (no threads) allowing air to flow. The 808 cartos threads are uninterrupted. This is what stops the air flow. So I don't think a manual battery will help in this case. Personally I can't test that since I bought only autos. But give it a try and let me know.

Mainly that the kit you're referring to is $120 for the unit, two batteries, and a charger, and the Extreme is an actual e-cig as opposed to an aircraft aluminum baton, and half the price, includes additional chargers, and comes with cartomizers.

I wouldn't think you're from the future, I'd think you have a metal baton in a leather case around your neck. Just saying :)

I won an extreme kit and an extreme passthru - was leary of it due to the threads but now I am anxious to try it. Can't wait now.

How are these in the auto batt?

Laurae09, I think you'll be very happy with the auto batts. For the most part I've been a fan of manual batts because of the sensitivity of autos (Blu and 510 mostly), but the Extreme autos really rock. They are vacuum activated so they only fire on inhale and the draw is real smooth. It really is like smoking an analog.

I bought the standard kit,
still has to arrive though.

Talked a bit with a representative,
seems they used a non standard threading.
When I voiced my concerns on e-juice choice,
Rick (the representative) pointed me towards their new TGo model.
Where the cartomizers come in five flavors, the TGo uses juice and carts and has a bigger choice (10 atm).
He told me they were considering adapting these flavors to cartomizers as well and that they were developing a refillable cartomizer for use with their standard and extreme kits.
If they do that, I'll be a happy camper...

If you're interested, visit their website and ask your questions through the live support chat.
I found they're very open and truthfull.

Chatted with Rick yesterday, he's one of the owners of apollo ecigs.
He's actually very interested in ideas coming from the community.

Reacting on some requests of customers, they're coming out with blank refillable carto's in about two weeks time.
I'm as happy as can be. Great kit (although the standard kit does produce less vapor than the extreme kit or the disposable, so I might switch to the extreme later, for now the small size is more important to me than the vapor itself, TH remains very strong either way), great customer support and now the possibilty to use any juice you want. Not many e-cigarette companies offer the same at that price-point in an easy to understand no hassle package for beginners...
