Hello, long time lurker even before making an account here.

I looked in to the apollo vtube 3.0 because it has the capabilities of a dna20 in terms of VV/VW and the amp rating is also 5.0
I was wondering if anyone had experience with the new apollo, and if it was any good.

Or if it is just too good to be true for the price. Thanks!

I've gotten mods from Apollo so they are a reliable seller. Problem is...they all broke. The description of the link says the mod can go to 20 Watts. But in VV mode it can only go to 6 volts...I have a feeling the mod is only limited to 6 Volts. Meaning that while in VW mode you can go as high as 20 Watts, but you will still be in the limitations of 6 volts...hell they coulda put a 30 or 50 Watt feature on there but it wouldn't matter because you'd still be in a 6 volt range. It would depend on the ohms of what atomizer is used. But that wouldn't really change anything. Depending on your ohms, you could go to 15 Watts and already be maxed out at 6 Volts and not know it. I think the 20 Watt feature is just a marketing ploy. If you want all the same features of this mod...with a cheaper price. Go with a Vamo mod.

Apollo states a lifetime warranty, how come you never used that? My problem with the vamo is just that I'm not a huge fan of the look, and with so many different version I'm kind of confused as to which device is truly better than the others.

Maybe someone else can chime in and help. I'm just saying that I wouldn't order that particular mod. In fact, all the mods I get now have adjustable center pins with a removable top cap, to be able to adjust the pin from the bottom of the cap.
Yeah, that is a help, I'm currently just using mech mods, but I want to have more of a variety in terms of different ohm vapes. I love my sub-ohm vapes but I want to be able to use some plain old tanks that I'm starting to miss. I can't really find any reviews at all on the new one, and most of the reviews I see on the older versions are from people whom seem rather new to vaping, as opposed to someone who has experience with a variety of apvs. Thanks for the info though!

The 20 watt capacity is questionable, most 6 volt variables max out at 15 watts, so unless they cloned the DNA20 chip it is highly suspicious. If they were using a DNA20 chipset one would think it would be advertised in big letters. Then again if it does put out 20 watts, it would be a .....en mod. The trustfire charger would be a concern though, would hope to get the "or similar" brand instead. Didn't see the amp rating anywhere. A protank would be a waste on a 20 watt device imo. Would have to investigate further before purchasing it.

Under tech specs it states a 5amp rating. This is why I tried posting on this forum in hopes of finding SOMEONE who would have owned one, but it seems impossible. I just can't find any info about it. I would build a custom for the protank, but on a mech it is a total waste to me. Thanks.

Get the Kick 2 by Evolv for your mech, then you can use standard ohm tanks on your mech and kick them at 15 watts. That's what I do on my rba's that aren't suited for sub ohms. Gives a great consistent vape.

I've thought about getting the kick, do you know if it works for sub-ohms, or what the lowest ohms you were able to use? Also, do they use non-protected batteries? I currently use sony 30amps. Lastly, I prefer to keep with the 18650 batteries, and if it is worth it I wouldn't mind buying batteries for it.

Edit: I have 2 v3 sentinel clone mechs, and a siegeli #8 if that makes any difference.

The kick 2 will accept builds from .5-3 ohms. Used it as my sub ohm trainer till I was ready to go straight mech. I got it with my Nemesis which accepts the kick with an 18650 battery, using the Sony 30 amp batteries also.

Thanks alot, I will look in to this setup. Also, thanks for doing research and finding apollo's "fail"!

No problem, when I saw the 20 watt spec it got my curiosity up, so tried to find some reviews on the V3, didn't find any but came across the UK site so gave it a gander.

Oh, almost forgot, Welcome to the forum and congrats on your vape!! Sounds like you have a good handle on it. How far does the Sentinel expand? Was thinking it may work with the kick in 18650 mode, been trying hard not to buy the clone. lol. So far have been successful.

Thanks. The sentinel expands hmm.. about 3 and a half inches between the top and bottom cap is the farthest I can get it with out it falling apart.

Ouch. Apollo e-cigs.

I'm from the UK and they are desperately unloved. I'm sure as the £millions pour in, they are loving the sales and admiring their tenacity and business acumen. (little joke there...)

I'm on 4 UK forums and you have more chance of seeing a Pink spotted Elephant than a good comment about Apollo.

There. I've said it. I will surely get banned sooner or later.
