I doubt you're doing anything "wrong"....this is where the break in period & technique comes into play. Also, know that juices will take on different flavor profiles when comparing this mod to other devices such as the eGos.

Try drawing the juice into the carto by squeezing the bottle & sucking on the tip at the same time till it gurgles. Then let it sit for about 5-10 minutes while it soaks in the filler. The filler doesn't need to be completely covered.

Also...is this a juice you vape normally or is it new to you?

If the battery isn't fully charged, there will be a decrease in performance...ie flat flavor. (going back to check on what batteries you're using....because if they are new IMRs, the batteries go through their own break in period, needing to go through 3-5 charging cycles before they reach their full potential.)

I realized I wasn't drawing on the carto long enuf for a lot of vapor n throat hit. I have 3 brand new IMRs and the juice in the first carto isn't new, but I filled a new carto with GP vanillaX, took a vape...a longer than usual one, o m g!, a REAL vanilla taste!
So this is what ejuice is supposed to taste like!This juice tastes like some sorta dessert

I've been checking into different atomizers...it's difficult for me cuz I'm so used to the huge eGo's.

So I grapped the rabbit by the ears ( bulls are too big and scary), set up my REO with a Boge carto, that I'd put app. 3 drops of liquid in, filled the bottle 3/4 full, squonked it a couple times, till I saw just a bit of juice in the cup and took a vape.

Unfortunately , it seemed flat, but then i realized I'd put the white end cap back on the carto.So I took that off and put on the drip tip, took a vape...and that was flat.

The juice is a new small bottle of Good Prophets 24 mg tobacco, pg/vg mix.

I just squonked again, saw some juice in the cup, tho when I took off the drip tip to look inside the carto, the filler wasn't completely covered.

What am I doing wrong?!

Horrible flavor more then good flavor. It is working as far as getting off analogs (not had an analog but one time first day). I just haven't hit the flavor moment all the time. I'm clueless.

you don't need to bother with putting juice in carto before attaching to the reo. simple install carto and blind squonk. while squeezing bottle (squonking) draw on drip tip until you hear a little gurgle let it sit for a couple mins and gently squonk again ready to tape

No, you're not clueless...just going through a big learning curve. This is your first device, right? So not only are you learning about they way this works, but you're learning about vaping in general. There are so many things that play an important part. For you, finding your juice preference is going to be your biggest challenge, especially because what one person likes, another won't. Even finding what nic level to use to satisfy your cravings can be a challenge, never mind the flavor.

And most importantly, while you transition to vaping....your taste buds will change over time. So a juice you like today, may taste horrible next month...and vise versa. You got a lot on your plate, Cynthia....just take this one day at a time.

twinmommy, I've been vaping for almost 3 yrs., and I'm STILL kinda clueless, lol.I thought , with this mod, I'd finally stop flooding so much...NOT!! So I took the carto off, cleaned the threads on the mod, put on an attie, squonked a couple of times, and flooded!!! ( I just changed the battery, put it on the charger and it was dead!! After only 3 hrs! what the hell? and the new one is acting the same...no throat hit...it's slightly gurgling, so i know it;s got juice...but no throat hit...I'm going back to my eGo...

There is a learning curve, but it is not that hard.

Your batteries should be lasting around 8 hours at least for the 18650. If they are not fully charged you will not get the performance you are looking for.

Cartos can be flooded also. And they will not vape well.

Is it a AW IMR? IF it was dead in that amount of time then it was not charged much to begin with. Most are shipped at 3.7 or a little under. Depends on how long they have been sitting in stock.

A full charge will make a big difference.

I'm sorry I didn't clarify. I have read many posts indicating that SmokTech has been churning out some cartos that haven't been as satisfactory for some vapers compared to earlier purchases. I don't know if it's true or not, but I have used Boge cartos and DSE LR 510 atomizers and both have worked consistently well for me.

I'm sorry you're so frustrated. The mod really does work great, but batteries, cartos/attys, and juice also play a huge role in the quality of the vape, and we all have individual preferences. It takes some experimentation to figure what setup is most satisfying.

Some have had problems with some of those cartos. I have them too. The problem is with them not firing or not lasting as long. I think that is not the problem you are having.
