I think it's rare to find a juice that you could vape everyday for months. For me, most of them tend to be lighter on flavor...
I think that's why I ultimately ended up liking menthols... barely any flavor... plenty of effectiveness/presence... hard for vendors to screw up.

So... OP... if you're still around... name your top few juices and then perhaps the top few you didn't connect with and I bet I could point you in a direction that could lead to a new juice

hell yea i'm still around, clinging on to every word :)
my problem is this: i'm getting tired of my favorites... not into fruity flavors at all, it's more psychological, but I rather eat strawberry and banana than vape someone's imitation of it. Not into mint/menthol (even avoid it in toothpaste)... So my favorites now are subtle tobaccos and RY4's type liquids (halo's prime15 is #1 for me at the moment)... As far as juice consistency goes for the equipment I use, halo and their clone eVo suit all my needs just fine. Don't like complex flavors, earthy hints are my favorites, if it's too sweet, it's a turn-off, hence kind of been steering away from liquids heavy on VG...

After a while, cooled off to the TH factor, so have gone to lower nicotine. Average out at 6mg, with some liquids (Italian dessert/cocoa types mostly as evening vapes) just do it at simple 0mg.

Just genuinely enjoy the act of vaping, so was looking to broaden my horizons a bit. Set off on reviews after ordering a bunch of samplers that did nothing but disappoint :/

Thank you!!

I always read reviews before deciding if I want to purchase from a site. I glean more information on a juice flavor than what the vendor's description gives. I must admit to being very cautious if I see one that says "chemically/perfumey" or a tobacco tastes like: licorice or chocolate or another cinnamon even knowing tastes are subjective. If everything there is 5 stars, I usually pass on it. That's a red flag to me that I might be seeing a "touchy" vendor and might, therefore, have trouble with them if anything should go wrong. So, yeh, I do find site reviews useful. Other reviews.. like on here... I find it helpful if the reviewer lists other juices theylike/don't like that I might be familiar with along with the one they're reviewing. If they don't, I usually keep reading replies on the thread to see if someone else does.

I might look into these juices if I were you...

You might look at nHaler's Octane line... 10mg of nic. High Quality. Lab juice I believe... The RYNOT and Cigarello were my favs... Goodejuice Lab Juices... TW Patriot line...

Eliquid Planet (the expensive line - essence?) you might investigate there...

Prime 15 is a pretty unique juice... it's a little grassy... touch of cocoa... somewhat earthy... yet, it's a high performing lab juice... and I also think other prime 15 enthusiasts could point you favorable directions...

You also might explore moondrop... flagship... or straight up light.

I am a fan... very earthy tobacco base... they have a few new tobacco mixes that might appeal to you...

it also sounds like you are someone who likes lighter flavor as well...

AIV makes very lightly flavored dessert juices... I wasn't in love with any of the flavors I tried, but they have so many fans... and the quality is there. I liked lemon loves cake and white rabbit best.

After this discussion, I think this is precisely what I will be doing. There are some you had named that I've tried... For example AIV just blew me away with their customer service, packaging and quality... It was a nice detour from the "regular." I tried them because of the reviews, and of course there were some "not for me, taste is subjective", true.. but having tried them and some others and gone back to the reviews that turned me on to trying them, the shortcomings of this approach are evident. For some there's some brand loyalty, for others, I guess they just don't want to "trash" a small business... All understandable and honorable motivations, but at the same time, make the review process a tad... well, worthless... I don't mind taking hit and miss chances once in a while, but I have to agree with chuckie and the point made earlier that you *really* have to dig into threads, and sometimes read between the lines. Too much work :)

Thanks again, guys!! Really awesome to get all the advise.

The main problem with e-juice reviews is that they are written by anyone who feels the desire. If there were reviewers who were known or even trained to have an acutely discerning palate, then perhaps they would have more merit. I will sometimes read restaurant reviews from the New York Times or Michelin Guide in which case I know the reviewers have the qualifications to judge. If I searched Facebook for great places to dine, I would be lost. The only thing e-juice reviews do for me is give me a lead in a particular search. If reviews are overwhelmingly positive or negative about a particular flavor or vendor, then that might sway me to try (or stay away). Otherwise, it is all a matter of taste, and I find that most people don't have a good enough sense of it to pass along.

I have seen negative reviews of flavors on various sites.

True, some seem to scrub out the less than stellar reviews but I've seen sites that leave them in, which I appreciate.

Actually more inclined to shop where there are both positive and negative reviews, that's honesty! Taste is so subjective, I'm not surprised not everyone likes a particular flavor. I am surprised and a little skeptical when every review is glowing.

Most people are going to review flavors that they already like, so they will always find something positive to say. I quit analogs to get away from tobacco, so I never tried any tobacco flavor and would probably never buy any. A friend told me to try his new flavor and it was a great maple flavored tobacco. Now I'm having second thoughts about it and are using reviews to find a good tobacco flavor. Don't be afraid to try something you may not like, you might be surprised.

I really don't like when a reviewer says he/she never tasted a flavor before, takes a few puffs and instantly passes judgment. I saw one recently where the guy took his first two puffs on some juice and right after exhale said, "Better than Boba's Bounty." I've seen others who take a few puffs of a new liquid and say the juice isn't any good.

I don't know about the rest of the e-cig community, but it takes me a little while -- sometimes a couple of days -- before I decide if I like a new flavor. Of the ones I really enjoy, I was mostly on the fence about them for the first few days, then decided they were keepers. Unless a liquid tastes like a dirty sock I can't judge it that quickly.

That is a *really* good observation, and another pet peeve of mine.

In short, to summarize most (if not all) reviews, which are laced with long pauses during inhale and serious face expressions to reflect the gravity of the situation:
Optional prelude: commentary about how busy the reviewer has been due to the mundane challenges of life
1. xyz is a great company
2. xyz uses great quality ingredients (possible speculation on secret PG/VG ratios) & evaluation of the [great] packaging
3. 30 second disclaimer about opinions presented in the review are PERSONAL opinions
4. TONS of vapor, but it all depends on the equipment you use (aka my mod is better than yours)
5. GREAT flavor (even if I don't like it, if you're into a/b/c you'll love it)
6. Check 'em out, you guys

I don't mean to be sarcastic, but just couldn't resist :)

I would agree and also add that members or fan boys and girls of particular suppliers also irk me.. Its always you just have to try this latest flavor..

When I was new and the first couple of years of vaping, I tried many juices from many suppliers of what every one was saying was delicious.. Almost all of them made me want to vomit. After dumping a lot of money on these juices i stopped buying and started mainly making my own. I know what I like..

And to add: We need another juice supplier like we need a hole in the head as far as i am concerned.. lol.
Done with rant..
Carry on..

e-Liquid Reviews are Very Important.

They tell you if the Reviewer Liked the e-Liquid He or She tried. Without out an e-Liquid Review, how would we know if the Reviewer Liked the e-Liquid or Not?

Now as to whether or not You will Like an e-Liquid that an e-Liquid Reviewer Likes? I have No Clue. And I Don't Think the Reviewer does Either.

This is precisely why I made the original post. In my experience thus far, even if the reviewer is admitting that flavor or liquid consistency is not for them, the message that's getting across is still a positive one, and in 99.9% of cases the liquid is still recommended. My impression at this point is that review is merely the "evidence" that the reviewer vaped the liquid, and it's only a generic message that's being expressed.

I would actually challenge someone to post a link to valid negative review about a fairly known vendor on youTube. I couldn't find any.

To me, there is No Reason to Post a Negative Review about an e-Liquid. All it does is Piss Off the Retailer who is sending a Reviewer Free e-Liquids to Review.

And then the Review might Not get anymore Free e-Liquids.

I have tried MANY retail e-Liquids. Many. Some were Great. Some Tasted like what a Urinal Cake Smells like.

But what is the Connection between what I Like and what You may like? I don't see one.

Now it could be that you find a Reviewer who Happens to Like the Exact Same Flavors/PG:VG Ratios/Nicotine Level that you do. In that case, that reviewers Recommendations might be Meaningful to you.

But your going to have to Try a Lot of Reviewers/e-Liquids to Stumble onto that Reviewer.

Maybe more Reviewers and e-Liquids than if you just Randomly Picked e-Liquids based on price per ml and Shipping Cost?

Oops.. I think I may have come across a little harsh... Let me clarify... By "negative" I don't mean reviews that "trash" the vendors. "I didn't like it because.." could be just as helpful (if not more so) to someone who says "I like it because..." It would also allow to identify with the reviewer's taste by narrowing down preferences and options.

No one is disputing that flavor is subjective. It is, yet, many other industries have rating systems where consumer benefits at the end by making educated decisions about purchases. Restaurant rating system was referenced in earlier posts, and it's very similar in nature to senses involved with e-liquids (taste and scent).

I just don't put much Faith into Any Reviews. Either Good or Bad.

Unless a Reviewer says that they tried Brand X e-liquid and Almost Gagged. It was as if they were Vaping Strong Candy. And almost went into a Diabetic Seizure because it was so Sweet.

If a Reviewer gave a Negative review like that, I would rush out and buy some Brand X.

Because I like Strong, Sweet e-Liquids. It is what got me into DIY. Adding Extra Flavoring and Extra Sweetener to Bland e-Liquids.

It's vegetable juice and flavoring, either you like it or don't.This is a vendor based forum so 99% of the stuff you read here is worthless.I'd try to pay as little attention as possible to anything you see or read.

Yes, I'd like clarification too--
I'm sure some companies probably pay or entice vapers to try and leave really stellar reviews, but I thought that this was, for the most part, a consumer-based forum. Vendors are here, sure, but vapers outnumber them by quite a bit and are a rather vocal (or rather, update often) community.
