It certainly seems like dual coil, big airflow RTAs are trending right now. Is this just a phase or do you think dual coil will be the default going forward? Personally, I prefer single coil setups for my RTAs and don't want to see them go away. I want to see new single coil RTAs produced along with dual coil for those who prefer them. Something like the Aqua v2 is perfect as you can run it either way and get great performance.

Any thoughts?

Sheesh - the work you guys have to go through. Stick any single or dual coil bottom feed RDA on a Reo and then fill a 6 ml feed bottle in a matter of a couple seconds - without having to disassemble an RTA to do it in the process. Things really do not need to be that complicated. RTA's were never my past, and dual coils RTA's sure aren't in my future either. :2c:

I don't think single coil setups are going away, ever. There has to be some middle ground between a Protank and a dual-coil RTA. :) What I'd like to see is for all RTA's to have adjustable airflow capable of near RDA free flow, glass only tanks, 4ml minimum, and tool-less top-filling to be the norm.

Yeah, I don't think they're going to disappear but I worry that they will be put on the back burner with the emphasis on RTAs like the Billow, Goblin, Silverplay etc. Those should be made as well because there's obviously a good deal of interest. I'm definitely in agreement with your wishlist, especially tool-free top-filling. I also agree with what Cifitzu posted after you - juice flow control. I'd like it to be a bit better executed than the Kayfun V4 but it would still be nice. I also enjoy tanks where you can access your build without emptying the tank. If something seems off with my wicking on the Aqua V2 or K4, I can fix it up and go right back to vaping with a minimum of mess and effort. Very nice.

I was waiting for a bottom feed comment... you guys still going door to door?! :p JK of course, nothing but love for the BFs!

Personally i prefer single coil RTAs and dual coil RDAs. This newer "younger crowd" (at least what i'm seeing personally) of super sub-ohm vapers and cloud chasers is damn annoying if you ask me. "I need sick clouds bro from every atomizer... all i need is clouds and the ability to run more than one coil and 50+ watts on sub .50 ohms... because vaping is a sport and i never even smoked analogs... just got straight into vaping because of how 'cool' and trendy it is." Ugh give me a break. (not you... 'those guys')

I don't think I could handle the Reo. Yeah, I'm a weenie I admit it, but I don't really want to mess with mechanical. I really like the idea of them but I also enjoy the safety of my regulated mods.

Yeah, but not everyone is a fan of ugly ... squonk boxes, and they have their own issues.

I only do mechanical, but the Amish well pump is an unnecessary chore that gravity performs much better without needing any manual labor by me.

God I hope not. I HATE dual coils. Yuck!

I don't think RTAs are moving in a dual coil configuration. After seeing the Lemo, KF4, and the Subtank, single coil tanks are getting a lot of attention. The Squape, Rose, and Flash-e are also unique single coil tanks that are very popular.

I don't think dual coil tanks are a "trend" either. It's by demand. Take the Aqua v2 for example. It's made as a dual coil, but I've also seen versions that come with a screw to close off one airflow side for single. Different tastes for different people. I own one dual and a few single RTAs. They are all great with their respective build.

High surface area and HIGH POWER is the future of vaping. I beleive.. Multi coils is a good way to get lots of area.

IMO, the fad of POWER and CLOUDS will fade and Ecigs will be about the replacement of tobacco again.

God, I hope not. Five years trying to make vaping work with off-the-shelf products, and it's just now in the last few months reached the point where mass-produced mods and clearos can keep me completely off stinkies, and that's because they're finally satisfying me, without the hassles of building and dripping.

And to do that, it took more power and more vapor.

I'd be back at 7-11 buying a carton of Camels before the weekend was up if I had to go back to something restrictive, low powered, and mouth hitting like a Kayfun or Nautilus. Seriously.
