I just perused through this article. I can understand your frustration... But they aren't truly going too over the top with slamming e-cigs negatively. They are stating facts. They are unregulated and there are people out there selling e-liquid legally that I wouldn't trust. Do we want a major news corporation reporting on THIS aspect of e-cigs though? No. I'd rather see a positive story that includes information about the e-liquid standards association. But what can you do? Unfortunately commenting is closed to members under the article.

I am new to vaping and have not done extensive research into e-cigs. But then again I did NO research into analogs. I was not overly offended by this article and like Plumes stated they were just stating some facts.
Now I wish they had stated how negatively using a patch plus chewing gum at the same time is.
I do not have a problem with regulations coming into play to make sure what is going into our juice, cartos, devices etc.... are as safe as can be. I do fear big tobacco doing everything they can to squish out this form of nicotine pleasure.

Big Tobacco is NOT the enemy
Quoting Kristin ... The enemy is
"Big Pharma" and its paid shills like the ALA, ACS and CFTFK lobbying, NOT "Big Tobacco."

All in all, not the hit piece I expected from the title. While certainly not unbiased, it could have been a real scare piece.

I actually support some regulation into what is in the juice. I would prefer it to be industry based rather than governmental, but I want to know that what's in the bottle is what's supposed to be in the bottle.

This isn't rocket science, the argument that they are unregulated is a straw man. The issue is what level of regulation and how they are described. Ideally a label with a description of the contents and a warning of nicotines addictiveness and the possibility of sensitivity to some ingredients. Regulation should be no more than testing to prove whats in the box is what it says on the box.
Whats being done here is using regulation as a byword for medical approval. Two different things. No one expects caffeine to have medical approval to buy coffee but they are brainwashed into thinking that nicotine needs it.
