Are E-cigs attracting the younger crowd?

First off, kids are after what looks cool. vaping does NOT look cool. Maybe those little cigalikes do, but even an EGO with a clearo on it looks like a medical device. They're going to gravitate more towards analogs, IMHO. Then they get busted by mommy or daddy, vaping might be a more stealthy option. So I can see how kids might be attracted to vaping to get away with the act itself, but vaping leading to analogs? I think not, IMHO. Trade something stealthy, awesome flavors, and no stink for something obvious, foul tasting, terrible smelling, and expensive? No way.

On a related note, I was at a local b&m where they have a vape bar where there were three kids in their late teens. Two were trying out the juices and one just hanging out. The one waiting asked to try something, then was asked for proper ID. after some discussion, the owner of the shop determine her ID was not hers and was politely told no. Good on the employees! I was really impressed! Responsible adults are the key.

I would say that teens that smoke are going to be much more interested in them than those that don't, and that's great IMHO!
I would be hesitant to say its because of the flavors. A lot of kids are just using the cig-a-likes and they usually don't have flavors beyond tobacco and menthol. Maybe others, but always a limited selection. Besides, that is just a ridiculous excuse to crack down. Not many teens are going to throw down the dough to purchase anything beyond even an eGo.

well im a firm belieber (see what i did there) of vaping vs. smoking. tried to convert all my smoker friends and family. but i mean as a young child. being exposed to something like vaping vs. not being exposed at all. even if it is way way way less harmful than cig smoking, i try not to vape in front of kids. does that make sense.

I'm a firm believer in educating our youth properly, and seeing a booth for safer alternative to smoking so you, your friends, your loved ones can FINALLY quit smoking, patches, gums... Priceless.
I don't condone eCigs, I condemn tobacco smokes.
What kind of messages are some "adults" sending to our kids? Paranoia, propaganda, bullying, fear mongering, ignorance, are totally acceptable if we have a cause. In this "ban the ecig cause"' it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize how false the cause is. You want our youth to trust us? We better start being trustworthy.

Aimed at ANTZ, not you in particular. It really gets my goat to hear such ... Comments.... And I respond honestly to every ear. Now hear this! ;).

In my opinion.. The propaganda against ecigs is based souly on the money. one bad cart and the FDA tried to shut it down. One bad cig and the fda looks the other way. Way? money. Currently there is no way to get a true tax on the ecig. The day that happens? TV announces that its the greatest thing EVER!! BUY BUY BUY! But untill then? Teens are gonna die from vaping omg lets ban it! ANTZ. My 2 year old got cancer and brain odemia from second hand vape! ANTZ. I got bit all over my leg! ANTS. Vaping causes radiation that makes others SUFFER!!!! ANTZ. But? when they find a way to tax it? Vape on people of the country(s)! Its even more healthy than NOT vaping because it promotes good habits! Gateway to better choics!

Parents, be parents, educate your kids. Others? Let people make their own choices. You wont let anyone tell you how to live right? Cept the TV..
Okay, ranting done. :vapor:
