Hey guys. Since I'm still kind of new, even though I pretty much have gotten a handle on most of the lingo in the vape world, some things are still confusing me to.

For instance, the EVOD BCC. Now, I ordered my first EVOD BCC from LiteCigUSA. They have the EVOD in the clearomizer section, and since it is see through, I assumed it was a clearomizer.

A few people corrected me on the board in another thread, and explained to me that the evod isn't really a clearo, it is actually a tank. They said the difference is the evod comes apart?

Okay I thought, at least now I know the evod is a tank, not a clearo like I previously thought.

Then, yesterday, in another thread about the evod.....someone posted PBusardo's youtube video review on the EVOD BCC:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRtqakeg3z4

In the video, he calls the evod a CLEAROMIZER.

So guys, can you please set the record straight. I'm already confused enough as it is with other vaping stuff......

Is the EVOD a clearo, or a tank?

Also, Mods, I didn't post this in a specific section, because again, I'm not sure if it is a tank or clearo. Feel free to move it if it should go somewhere else!

There are 3 types, cartomizer, atomizer and the ''tank" system,the carotomizer has poly filler in a tube inside of the tank,the ataomizer uses a string type wick system and the tank system uses a spike with a wick inside,sounds confusing i know,but thats about sums it up,thay are all tanks.

Yea I know all that......but you didn't answer what evod's technically are.

Are they a clearomizer AND a tank then?

You will find when you go looking for it on most every site it will be listed under clearomizers. From what I have seen, a Tank is normally a glass or plastic tube with top and bottom caps. To make it work you have to add a cartomizer and drip tip.

Since an evod is just fill and vape, In my humble opinion, it is a clearomizer.

I would say that the Evod is a tank, clearomizer's are just a tank you can see through. I think that they are all tanks but when they specify clearomizer, they just mean you can see thru it.
It's funny. I call my T3's both. Depends who I'm talking to I guess.

On my ProTank it is easy. IT has tank in the name. :D

Nice new Avatar Angel!

I think they must be called TANKOMIZER, my metal vivinova clearomizar is not clear at all. LOL, i would say that a Tank is just that A tank to add an extra reservoir to the cartomazire,
Tank = Cartomizer reservoir tank to get a carto-tank , 2pcs
Cartomizer = Cartridge + atomizer 1pc
"TANKOMIZER" Tank + atomizer 1pc

Tank System use a replacable cartomizer inside, clearomizer dont, so EVOD is indeed a Clearomizer, even ProTank is not a real Tank System

lol, kinda like liquid, I think it's all subjective huh Bost? Call it what you want, as long as it's working, if it isn't I'm sure it has a few new choice names then hehehe
Yup! Some call it juice (I do), some call it eLiquid (stores do). But for most of us I think we all think it is better termed Salvation from tobacco.

My ProTank just whispered to me, it said it is a professional impersonation of a tank but in fact it is a large clearomizer.

:unsure: I think my nic may be too strong....

LOL!

The evolution that I have seen is the original atomizer was a separate piece, with a coil and sometimes a bridge. These were supposed to be used in conjunction with a cartridge that just consisted of filler material to deliver juice to the coil... people got sick of fiddling with the filler and started just dripping juice directly on the atomizer. The cartomizer combined the two into one disposable unit consisting of a coil surrounded by filler material to keep it wet. Someone came up with the idea of punching holes in the cartomizers and surrounding it with a tank full of juice... this is the classic "tank" setup. Clearomizers came in as an alternative to cartos, because a lot of people have had problems with the filler burning in their cartomizers... clearos are clear plastic, allowing you to see the juice and were fed with a wick that sat in the liquid and fed it directly to the coil. The Vivi Nova, CE(whatever number here), T2, T3, Vapeonly BCC are all technically clearomizers, as is the Protank... some manufacturers saw the clearo as a great idea and then made them more tank like, so it all gets a little confusing. Then we get to the rebuildables... :rolleyes:

I like to call e-liquid "Jesus Tears" , since ecigs have saved my life.
LOL, just kidding :) But that is a catchy name for eliquid.

Hey bob, I ordered 10ml of some good jesus tears for my new pro tank, wanna try .....

actually, no, that doesn't fit.

Nevermind.

Thanks for all the replies guys. It didn't clear anything up, because for everyone that responded, you all each gave a different response, LOL.

I will just stick to the EVOD BCC being a clearomizer. I guess technically it is a TANK, and the TYPE of tank is clearomizer....but I'm fine w/ calling it a clearo.

And even though the kanger pro tank is clear as well, I'm gonna stick to calling it a tank.

Thanks guys!
