are KR808 cartomizers really that bad?
i have 5 KR808 V4L varied flavor cartomizers and using a wetbox, these cartomizers put out less than half the vapor and smell like cheap perfume compared to stock 510 cartos, all of my stock 510 cartos are way better than these KR808 cartos, i can't even see how anyone would buy them more than once

ok, i pull some of my regular ejuice in one and it did produce vapor ok, maybe the V4L are all PG with little or no VG..

i was considering the KR808 cartomizers because they seem to sell at about $1.50 per 5 pack less than my 510 cartos, just buy the empty ones i guess if i want to save a little more money

The blanks are awesome just put your own juice in them. I get better flavor in 808 cartos than the atty cart combo. I love the 510s also they seem to hold more and I like them on my 510 but they are more expensive. I dont like the prefilled 808 cartos though.

Another vote for blanks here.

I love the 808 cartos much better than the 901 attys I replaced them with. They don't leak and seem to last for a long, long time. Cost less and have warmer vapor.

Yup, get blanks and use your own juice.

Yeah I'm using some very dubious Chinese-made and filled cartomizers, so much so that I give them a 15 minute double boil and let them dry over night before filling them with ejuice. pre-filled just suck.

So it is not just me then! I have only tasted one or two prefilled 808's that I really liked. I usually end up adding a drop or two of a really tasty liquid through the battery end to improve the flavor. Refills taste fine after that.

I did really like the sample carto that Prime Vapor sent a couple weeks ago. There was none of that odd aftertaste. They are a bit pricier than other pre-filled cartos though.

Another vote for filling blanks -- I've probably had 25 different pre-filled cartos from V4L to test flavors but I've found that even after boiling the pre-filled just aren't as good as the blanks for holding onto juice PLUS the flavors you get from others are far superior IMO. I do like about a 70/30 pg/vg ratio right now but I'm still a newbie and I know many others have done far more experimenting........

I'm still new to all of this too but I'm all for DIY...had that thought from the very beginning actually. Am a recent recruit to the KR8 and blank carts...but I must say that filling blanks are the way to go.

I'm glad I came across this thread. I started about a week ago on the pre-filled cartos. I don't mind the menthol/mint that came with my kit but when I ordered a couple other flavors - *coughgagcough* - let's just say it didn't seem pleasant at all. I thought maybe it was just me being a noob and not used to it yet. Now I think my next purchase will be some blanks and juice to see how that goes.

At first I thought this would be the price to pay to quit smoking. Then after reading some reviews I placed an order with Tasty Vapor. Yea, now I see why people are addicted to vaping.

Maybe some batches of V4L 808 cartos are better than others. I bought a bunch at a distress sale. . .once I found out the 808 to 510 connector had a screw adjustment for air flow, I'm tickled pink with them. Was really on a bummer for a couple days sucking so hard my you know what puckered. About a full 360 unscrew was just about perfect. Dang things should come with instructions.

The V4L pre-filled are absolutely disgusting. Perfumey and eye-watering. BLECH. They made me give up on vaping altogether about a year ago. I am now the owner of a KR808 from V2Cigs...not happy with the battery life or the vapor production with their pre-filled cartos, but I'm impatiently awaiting my first delivery of e-juice from Viking Vapor so I can fill the empty cartos I just got in the mail yesterday.

As an aside, V2Cigs's pre-filled vanilla cartos are yummy and what made me get back into vaping and quitting cigs (they use USA juice--PG only)...just not enough vapor for this girl. I need some VG in my mix.

Filling blanks probably is the way to go. Works good for me. There have been a couple prefilled I liked though. The Gold Label Caramel Mocha prefilled (cigeasy) at 24mg are really good right from the start. Love em.

Oh yeah, I 2nd and 3rd and 4th...get premium blank cartos with rubber caps for refilling! Its really the only way to go. Wow Carts or Cool Carts from V4L are the only way to go.

Get some of the e2 ceramic blanks. I used to swear by the coolcarts...not anymore though. The e2's are definitely the best.
