cough, runny nose normal for first time snusers?
i am at 37 hours with only snus for nicotine,
does this happen to first timers or maybe i caught a cold running around buying this snus

James

August 03 smoked 00 cigs, 40 less than my usual 40 cigs a day 3198 cigarettes not smoked in 92 days by using Stonewall, Joye 510, Hello 016, Ken's BoxMod, MadVapes 2xAA Box mod, WetBox Vaporizer (ecig) and 19 bottles of ejuice partially used , $0.28 per cig X 3198 Cigs = $895.44 diverted from cigarettes to Vaporizer (ecig). OMG I have spent over $2025.59 in 92 days on this stuff but bare in mind that my old cigarette cost was $330 a month, now trying snus

well it seems to have gone away, i think it was just my personal reaction to snus.

49 hours with only snus for nicotine, working great so far and no urge for cigarettes,

but i quit cigarettes using just vaping for 3 weeks before i stressed out and started smoking again, so only time will tell if snus is an effective replacement or just another one of my over ambitious dreams of quitting cigarettes

James :)

One of my best friends quit using snus and I got his wife to quit using e-cigs. He will hit my 5 volt box mod but can't stand his wifes Kr808.

Good to know you're doing better, James. I quit with just the PV, but at about 1 month I started to crave something fierce and was headed full force into depression. Many here have observed, as well as shared my struggle that's documented in the "Are we getting it" thread. Long story short, with urgings from Stubby, Vaporer and Olderthandirt I decided to give Swedish snus a shot, even though I held little hope it would help. It was indeed my cure-all. After a while I even ditched my PV, but 4 months later I was really starting to miss a lungful to go along with my satisfaction. I vape less than 1/2 mil a day and snus is my medicine. Every once in a while I think about a smoke, but now I can shrug it off as fast as the urge hits me. I does take time, though. Keep snusin', friend :).

Man, you sure attack a situation when you try something. I've got a stockpile of PVs, liquid (with 8ozs on order just because the flavors intrigued me and it was only costing the price of a carton of really cheap smokes) and a couple or so years of snus tying up a good section of my freezer. I still haven't come close to spending as much as you have and I'm over a year into this now.

The first seven months were okay with severely limited cigarette use, but at the end the numbers were creeping up. Next week will be six months since I lipped my first snus which correlates directly with the last puff on a cigarette. For me, snus gives me what I needed to stay sane. As TV mentioned, ever now and then I'll get a smoking urge, but it is mellow and a 24-36 mg puff or three and it's forgotten. Normally, I'm vaping somewhere around 4mg liquid and if I puff the equivalent to 4 or 5 smokes a day, I'd be surprised.

Other than the frustration of not being able to give up those last few cigs for seven months and the fear that I was back sliding when the number increased, the process was quite painless. Incidentally, when I started with the PV, I had no desire to quit, my gf wanted to try then and she basically talked me into it. She, of course, wasn't successful. Perhaps someday.
