Owner of a Lavatube v2, aga t+, vivi nova 3.5, and a lavatank... Lavatube has a crooked connection at the top so nothing sits perfectly straight, the lavatank is prone to leaks and the vapor is tasteless in the cartos compared to my V2 Cigs kit i had when i first started vaping... My vivi nova tank is oblong, literally looks like an oval when you unscrew the cap and look straight at it, and ine of the heads i recieved in the kit had the wick shredded and the fibers fell into my juice, and when i screw the cap on, i have to center the rubber piece to keep it from kicking to one side and letting juice leak out into the drip tip, plus no drip tipfits well besides the included one... Point is, am i the only person disappointed in the quality of all these devices? I mean, the aga t has barely enough threads for the 3 nuts to fit and theres barely enough room for 3 or 4 wraps... Im just confused why there are reviews of people standing by these products like theyre top quality when they are def not... Can someone please help me find equivalents to these items only with legit solid quality, and available to buy, without finding out you have to wait 10 years or literalky live next door and be friends with people like zen or imeo? Just tired of junk and really frustrated... Losing faith in alot of these items and opinions... Someone please give me some hope, a sign, or some legitamite direction!!! I know you real deal vapor enthusiastes are out there with answers!

I have a lavatube with the crooked connector. also, but everything seems to work on mine. I guess yours is more crooked than mine. This is a very common complaint. I have 8 or 9 VISION Vivi Novas (I have 4 or 5 unused ones, also) & I've never had one leak in 7 or 8 months use. Are you sure the Vivis are not clones? I haven't got a lavatank, so I don't know. I have replaced the drip tip on Vivi Nova that I broke with a cheap 510 drip tip without issues.

I would suggest a good mechanical mod like a legacy or one from t-manufacturing, or a provape. Sorry but to me there's only one vv I would advise anyone to buy. That would be a ProVari. I would also advise you to get a glass tank-carto setup say from Ibtanked. I also use an aga-tiamat with the glass tank. On the mechanicals you can also get a kick to control them. I own a Legacy mini and a ProVari mini. They both are made with quality and I think you would be happy with them. I hope this helps.

At the risk of opening the weekly can o' worms regarding Chinese Manufacturing vs US and European made goods...

Yes. There are some very well made products to be found out there. If variable voltage tube mods are your thing, lots of people love provari's (not my cup of tea, but probably the most loyal following of all of the US mods). There are all sorts of tanks and rebuildable attys our there from US and European manufacturers...

I don't have anything to say about vivi nova style tanks. I've never tried one and have never had any reason to try one. I will mention that I have read many times that there are alternate wicking materials out there that are superior in one way or another to silica.

For my money, give me a high quality feeder and a good atty <period>. Keeping things simple often produces the best results.

Sounds like you have bad luck, my friend. I have a LT V2 with no problems. I had to get it swapped because my first one kept cutting off. However, Volcano does have a good warranty and should swap the defective unit with no problem. I contacted them about some of the issues I've heard several complaints about and they said they have to tighten up on quality control. Hopefully they'll have it fixed soon before they ruin their reputation with a bunch of defective devices.

I dunno how you even screw a cap onto an oblong tank as you describe your ViVi, but form what I hear, the only common complaint is muted flavor, but I think that's generally subjective. Dunno what to tell you about your drip tip.

For the most part, these all seem like reputable parts but you just seem to be having a string of bad luck. I wish you the best in finding resolution, especially before going back to analogs.

I've used a ton of drip tips on my vivi novas, some work, some don't. That goes with any 510 drip tip on various devices. It's standardized to a point, but there's going to be some variation. There are a ton of different companies making these things. The rest of your nova issues seem localized. I don't have any of the issues you described, except I rebuild my heads with better wick and now cotton (cheap and easy), as the prebuilt heads (or even preinstalled wick/coil on RBA's) I have found to be of inferior quality compared to what I can do myself. That's just part of dealing with mass production and bare bones cost in China.

As for the tank, could be the material they used for the tube. Try boiling it or let it sit in hot water. Could also be the cartos you are using, try some different ones.

On the AGA-T+, the center post does seem a bit short. I removed the center nut and replaced it with a spring and one of the cups from a nova head as a large "washer" above the spring and top nut. This way I can just capture the wire easily and it's also easy to adjust the top coil. A bunch of springs, nuts, other hardware I picked up from my local Ace for $7, definitely worth the trip. I've gotten 7 wraps of 28 gauge on my wick before, now using a 4/3 wrap for lower resistance on a mechanical. This just sounds like you need more practice. It's not hard once you get the hang of it. There's plenty of room there.

There are some great products out there, it just seems you have gotten a bit of bad luck. If you got most of these from the same vendors, I would try a couple different ones.

No one is claiming these devices are "top quality" because really they're not. They're mass produced Chinese devices. They are good bang-for-buck, good for the money spent, some are definitely better quality than expected for the price (like the Terminator/Ody clone or the AGA-T+), but if you want "top quality" you're going to have to pay for it, usually between $150-250 a pop.

The lava tank sucks, period. Ibtanked makes a great Pyrex tank cheaper. Ikenvape or smoktech cartos pre punched wick pretty good I use them both though ikenvape is much better.

Smoktech single coil punched 45mm 3.2ohm cartomizer

Ikenvape 510 mega punched cartomizer or 801 fusion cartomizer with 510 to 801 stealth adaptor in the 3ohm range.

Prime them both well before firing them and start at lower voltages.

The lava tube is what happens when you copy a $200 mod and put bad components and shotty quality control into play.

Buy the tank and cartos I referenced, you will be very happy.

Returning the lavatube for a replacement, and trying my luck with a quality mech mod, and seeing if a quality rebuildable atty on top will help my issues... I have the aga t working ok but i would prefer it on a mech mod instead of the lavatube... Sometimes simple is better as well so i think a dripping atty might be in my future as well... Thanks so much for the help and listebing to my rant and rave about my bad luck streak!
