Intellectual property rights don't really work that well in China. We have situations where Chinese companies are now copying other Chinese companies products.
You know they make almost a perfect copy of the BMW X5 in China, it's called the CEO - and it looks almost identical to the BMW. Well BMW tried to stop them making it - and in a protracted and complicated series of judgements, amazingly lost the case.
I think people just stop trying to enforce their property rights because it becomes too expensive, and they will probably lose anyway.
I think the CE4 / CE5 are pretty generic names for the clearos, as are Egos (originally a Joytech brand I think) but now it's a
thread type as well as a battery.
