I'm just asking because when I got all my kit a few days ago I tried my A7 and my RM2 without o rings. To be honest I just forgot all about them. However there wasn't any leaking when squonking. I've got an o ring fitted now but haven't noticed any difference
Not really necessary......they actually serve the alternate purpose of allowing you to position your RDA so the air hole is aligned relative to your vaping style (ie., air hole @ 6 o'clock/3 o'clock/9 o'clock, etc..
That being said.....I DO notice a wee bit of juice seeping onto the 510 connector when I remove my RM2 for routine cleaning...so I keep the o-ring in place...YMMV...
Happy (vaping) Trails!

I don't know about leakin; always using o rings.
Without o ring, the RM2 is held in place just by the 510 threading and is not really seated on the Grand body. Furthermore, you might harm the 510 connection by over-tighening the rba. On ther other hand, the o ring seats the rba and restricts the distance the rba can be screwed into the 510. Additionally, you can use different o ring sizes (1 x 10, 1.5 x 10) to find your preferred position of the air hole.
