Are PV approved by physicians?

i mentioned it to my doc when i went the other day but she didn't really say anything about it im assuming if she thaught it was bad she would have
I gave a friend of mine an e-cig for his Mom; being the cautious type he asked his doctor about it.
She (the Doctor) thought the idea was great, and asked for more info about it.
She has been suggesting this to some of her patients who smoke; her conclusion was that it had to be better for you than smoking is.
I was a little surprised to hear that the doctor jumped on this, but cigs are nasty things....

I don't think physicians have gotten together to endorse the PV but it was a doctor who gave me my kit about 3 weeks ago. His opinion? He doesn't know for sure if the PV will kill me but he's pretty sure smoking will.
It depends on the doctor. I think most will tell you it's better than the alternative if you're going to keep on smoking but all will tell you to stop...period.
I have one doctor that informs his smoking patents about them and tries to steer them toward it. I've got another that tells me and everyone else just to stop, I don't think he's a current or former smoker.

My doctor is thrilled with PV's He gave me his absolute approval to use a PV and he asks me about it every time I go in for a checkup.
My Doc is all for them, even asked me if I had a business card of where to get them, She's all for them and says that if it made you quit smoking then that's great. !
My doctor and my mother's doctor both said it was fine.
In a way, this is a little annoying. Are any of these doctors going to speak out? Because I think I've seen about 50 posts on this board where people have said they had their physician's approval to vape. My mother was even allowed to vape at the Univ of Pa hospital. Why are all of these doctors fine with vaping yet we don't hear anything about it? Don't they speak out? Talk about it? Not want to take on big pharma?

Big Medicine and Big Pharma are like two bugs in a rug. Comfy, cozy.
Them Big Pharm probably don't ask and don't care for it if they even heard it.

Hubby's doctor is very supportive, he was thrilled for him finding a safer alternative to smoking.
My Doctor was all for it. He told me he just got his brother one and he was getting off analogs....

I've just had a fairly complete physical with a new doctor. Told him about it, and he said, "You smoke??" I said, not any more, I use this thing...He had results from a cardiac stress/general fitness test in his hands, and didn't believe I was a former smoker.
I told him that I smoked until 2 months ago, and he said KEEP DOING THAT.
I was going to anyway.

My doc seemed pretty pleased that I had quit smoking and was all for the PV and she is a definite non-smoker!
My doctor full approves. She even dropped one 'script and lowered dosage on the rest of the handful of pills I take everyday.
She's very happy that I have stopped killing myself and actually started healing.
But she is not the surgen general, or the spokesperson for the AMA, so you won't she her suport in the news.

My nurse practitioner is thrilled that hubby and I both have not had a cigarette in over 2 years.

My Dr. was very happy to learn thast I had switched to vaping. He said if it helps to keep you from smoking it is a good thing. My Dr. is pretty cool.
