I was a deadhead in the mid 80s until maybe 1990-ish? I saw them around 20 times I think. Back then, I could've told you exactly how many shows and where and when they all were and what sets they played, but it's all a bit hazy now.

One thing about having been a deadhead is there's still something very special about the music. I don't listen to the Dead very often, but when I do, I still get that old feeling :)

You should give a listen to Phil and Bob;s new band...they are on tour now...FURTHUR...closest thing to The GD since, well...since Jerry was alive. The guitarist is former DSO guitarist John Cadlicek and he really sounds just like Garcia (his guitar playing anyway...and his voice is close...alot like Jerry c.1979)

I saw my first in the mid seventies and the last right before Jerry died. Haven't listened in a while, hhmm, now where were they?

Almost bought a copy of Working Mans Dead today.

Now where are they you ask?

See setlists and what they've been up to here...

I think I saw 40 shows from 1989 to 1995. I came a little late to the game but I got to see some really good shows in the summer of 1990 before Brent died. I still think that was it for them, his death. I think they were just going through the motions after that. Got to see the latest version last summer 3 times (DC Philly NYC). Still nice to go if only for the memories of shows past.
