Newb with a few questions

Hello Folks!! First post here, love the site!

Been vaping for a few weeks now and smoked my last American Spirit 4 days ago. Never thought I'd quit analogs, bought a truckstop e-cig on cross country trip, then ordered a kit from Bloog and loving the vapor experience so far.

Currently loving the 555 24mg juice from Bloog and just recieved an order of different juices from a well known supplier here in NC, but don't like any of them. A little discouraging, wanted a real cig last night after trying some new flavs that I couldn't stomach, but passed on smoking it. Tried Kona Cream (dislike), Desert Ship (really dislike), and Black Liquorice (ok, but still not what i'm looking for). Got a few more to try once I clean some cartos. I know to most here this doesn't seem like I've tried a whole lot yet, so since 555 is the only one I really like so far, what would you guys and gals suggest?

Oh, saw a video on steeping, gonna steep all this liquid and try it again. Will this really help?

Who you callin' a deadhead? Welcome to the forum, and to vaping in general.

To answer your question, yes! Steeping does help. I've found that it mutes certain flavors and intensifies others.

I don't know american juice suppliers well enough to reccommend flavours to ya bruh sorry.

Steeping, it's like a 2 week rule. If you get it on day 1 and it smells chemically or there's one overpowering flavour, if you give it two weeks and it tastes and smells exactly the same as it did on day one it's not going to do anything but go stale in about 2 years time.

If it tastes good day one, vape it from day one. If it don't, leave it for a week to two and if it still aint great, it'll never be great.

There's tons of juice vendors out there. The best advice anyone can give you is to simply try them until you find something you like. The majority offer reasonably priced sampler packs, so you can try a variety without spending big bucks. Once you find something you like it's pretty easy to keep stocked up.

Everyone has different tastes. Personally, I'd recommend avejuice.com. I've only tried a handful of juice vendors, but so far, they have had the best tasting juices by far. You will read a lot of hype about a juice called Boba's Bounty. It's the favorite of a lot of the people here, and with good reason. I think it's amazing, and avejuice.com is the only place to get it.

No steeping rarely helps IMO. Steeping can help cream flavors, overflavored juices, and complex juices where several flavorings have been mixed together. But unless the juice is perfumey/flowery there will not be any huge effect. It can help remove that perfumey flowery smell. It can improve some good complex juices. Don't expect miracles.

A lot of it is personal taste. A number of people including me found Desert Ship from FreedomSmokeUSA or elsewhere the perfect tobacco-smell-alike strong juice - it is a bit pungent. So is a pack of freshly opened cigs.

If you get an analog craving it can sometimes be from vaping food flavors. Happened to me the first 2 months.

If you like 555 (vanilla nut tobacco) you may like RY4 (vanilla caramel tobacco). RY4's vary - some are sweet and some are not, some have more tobacco flavor and some have little tobacco flavor. Ditto for 555's. Try something chocolate and something vanilla (especially the chocolate - don't know about other countries but most US cigs have cocoa in them.). hate Desert Ship then it is probably that pungent Turkish aroma you don't like. Try some other tobacco types and just stay away from Turkish and Camel because if you. If you are using bottled juice you may have trouble finding cocoas that are not dark and full of carto-clogging flavoring sediment (FSUSA's a dark and full of sediment - a shame since it is good).

WNC - what is that? Western NC like Asheville (been there for fiddle lessons but I am hopeless on fiddle). You can also get cartos at Vapor4Life, SmokeLessImage (Volt), Halcocigs (G6). You could try some samplers at V4L. I find many of their juices overflavored. Their WOW cartos are pretty strong too. My faves so far are WOWbacco (a cocoa tobacco, and WOWboy is the same w/ a bit of mint added) and WOW Vanilla (sweet sharp-edged marshmallow/cotton-candy type vanilla). BTW sharp TH on both of those with nicotine - if you are at 18 or 24 nic consider trying one level lower if you try prefilled WOW cartos of those. I vape each in a separate ecig for contrast. Another interesting vanilla is Gourmet Vapor vanillarum (I buy 80PG/20VG or 90PG/10VG for use in cartomizers) - vanillarum is 60% vanilla and the rest if caramel and rum. At least sign up on their site so you get the next sale email. Infrequent sales but when they have one it is usually a huge sale (last was 50% off).

Anyway, I'm new too and I'd read here that many tobacco flavors are not good but saw some good reviews for the tobacco-y ones from primevaping, ordered some samples, and so far I really like them tho I haven't tried all 6 yet. Love From Above is much like my former Capris, Last Tango a bit stronger, and I've heard good things about their PV4. Love their Chill Out too, very slight peppermint with a hint of clove aftertaste. I think primevaping is having a sale this weekend.

I'm in NC too by way of Chicago-born, wish I could find a well-stocked retail outlet.

Thanks for the suggestions, funny just tried the Desert Ship again and it seems easier on me today than yesterday? Gonna order some RY4 too.

dormouse, Yea, close to Asheville,- Marion,NC.

Another question, thinking about going with a Roughstack V2 from Madvapes, is this a better choice over my current Bloog setup? And whats the best choice in cartos for one of these? Do most order a BUNCH of cartos or do you use tanks, or something else? Interested in the GG too, but don't want to spend that king of dough just yet.

I'm a newbie vaper too, and I currently like Flue Cured Tobacco, which has a mellow tobacco flavor.

Also remember that a flavor from one company is nto the same as one from another even if they use the same name. All 555's are not created equal and same with other flavors. For me there are a few RY4's I really like with VS4 being my favorite variant but I also have a few samples that to me are unvapable. PG/VG ratios can also have a large effect.
