I've had my Little Chuck for a long time and have been using the Blue UltraFire 18350 1200mAh batteries.

But Jeff said in the battery thread that these are good for 3.7 vaping. Are these better than the ones I'm using?

Protected 18650 Battery, 3000 mah

If not, what batteries are the best for giving good power to the Little Chuck?

I have both the Blue UltraFire 18350's and the Trustfire 16340 3.7V batts. The Blue ones are better as far as power goes, my Lil Chuck vapes stronger with these. Has anyone compared either of these batteries with other kinds of batts and come up with any you think are stronger than these?

I have three Blue 18350s and four AW IMR 16340s. I use the 18350s about 90% of the time. The AWs are high drain so they supposedly keep you vaping at the same strength from the time you charge them until they drain (suddenly) but I find they just don't last long enough (550mAh.)

I vape the way I smoked -- constantly. I can go through two of the18350s in a day or all four of the AWs. I know that the IMR is a safer technology but my Ultrafires are protected. I'll take my chances.

From the first post in the sticky on Chuck batteries:

Here is a rundown of batteries that can be used for the Chuck....

Large Chuck:

3.7V - 18650
6V - 2x RCR123
6V - 2x CR2 (need the sleeve sold at Thagbuilt.com, unprotected**)
6V - 2x CR123 (these are non re-chargeables that you can get in a pinch at most stores to use your large chuck at 6V)

Little Chuck:
3.7V - 16340 (also sold as 3.6V CR123A, but make sure you get the 3.6V and not the 3V)
3.7V - 18350 (1200mAh, orange ones unprotected**, blue ones protected)

** Use unprotected batteries at your own risk. While it is unlikely that anything will go wrong, serious injury and fire can result from using unprotected batteries. **

They aren't protected. If it doesn't say it on the battery itself, it doesn't matter what the website says on the page. It could that they confused something in the translation -- Dino Direct is in China.

Here's the same battery at Battery Junction (in NY.) You can see that all the writing on the batteries is identical and they very explicitly say it is not protected.

My bad. I didn't realize that Mad Vapes' picture doesn't show that part of the battery.

I have my blue 18350s from Mad Vapes right in front of me. This is what they say:

UltraFire
18350 1200mAh

Re/Dischar9in9
Protection Circuit

That is not a typo on my part. They replaced the gs in "Discharging" with 9s. Chinglish is a strange language.

Poeia, I appreciate your explanations and thanks so much for posting the link to those 18350 Blue batteries. Here's a link to some AW's below. Have you used them and if so, how do they compare to the Blue ones in power? Tell me if you think I'm talking apples and oranges here though, because I just assume that the 18350 batty is more powerful than the 16340 below, which would make my post here moot....
