my book keeper started vaping a couple of weeks after i did. she has 808 manual batteries. she was having issues last week and i asked her if she had cleaned her batteries. cleaned she said....???? i showed her how to clean the batteries and she went home and cleaned the rest of her chargers and batteries. turns out she decided to soak the the end with the light in alcohol. said all kinds of gunk came out... and they were much better. mine are autos so im clueless about if she should of done that or not. sounded scarey to me. today she tells me that the button is sticking on one. one goes on and stays on when she screws the carto on etc. i guess my question is did she basically blow up her batteries by soaking them in alcohol..... is there any hope of fixing them etc.
are these batteries toast

I've never heard of anyone ever soaking a battery in alcohol.. Atty's yes, batteries no. I would say if the button is stuck and staying on though, it's time for a new one. The regular penstyle batts just aren't worth it to try and fix, IMO.
