Shills are people planted to sell a product on a forum like this.

I dont really see that many and the ones I do are fairly easy to spot and quickly dealt with by the mods.

I find post count and join date to be a handy tool sometimes but like its been mentioned above it isnt an absolute by any means.

I've seen people whove been here two months who thought they were experts and people that have been here 4 years who are admitted noobs.Without holding an actual conversation with someone its hard to tell how much experience they might have or what background they are drawing on.

I am always leery naming a vendor, juice or hardware because of peeps thinking I'm one but I'm truly not. I am, however, extremely grateful that I stumbled on a super one for all of my needs.... and first time out yet... beginners luck I guess. Anyway, so much so, that I wrote the vendor telling them how grateful I was and briefly gave my story in that email to which I got a very appreciative reply... which goes to show why I feel so lucky finding them. I'm trying to say... sure some might sound that way but they might just be so happy and grateful like me. (Notice I didn't name anyone?) ;-)

I joined ECF in April, around the same time that I began vaping. I have a particular interest in cartotanks, so I tend to offer advice more so in that niche of vaping. I also try to help new vapors from my experience of first using the cigarette-sized batteries, eGo sized batteries, and then on to the larger advanced personal vaporizers or mods.

If it appears that I push a particular product or vendor, it is because I have had a very positive experience with that product or vendor. I have no business ties to any vendor that I may promote.

I make a personal attempt to explain vaping jargon in a way that new people coming in can understand. I also like to include images in my posts, as I feel this greatly assists in their understanding. Including links to helpful information or to vendor websites helps, too, as not everyone is internet savy to do this on their own. My overall intent is to help fellow vapors to stop smoking and to make their initial experience into vaping as simple as possible.

Been vaping just over 1 month. My brother has been vaping for quite some time. Between picking his brain constantly and researching both here and other sites..I feel I'm pretty damn knowledgeable :) doesn't hurt that in 30 days ive managed to spend a small fortune on pv's and tons of accessories.

Honestly I've been lurking and YouTubing for all the information I needed ever since I started. Also have been using blogs like vapingguide.com for other things. I recently registered simply because I wanted to be part of a community after months of trying different things. Whether you started one month ago or years ago, input is input........

Plus I wanted to increase my post count so I can buy here ;)

OMG! Me too!! I was getting it 3-4 times a year and my doc said " Look..are you trying to get Emphsyma? Cuz you're getting there..One of these times you are going to get Bronchitis and it will be just that!" I have had it once since i quit but i am around diesel fumes and i think so much damage has been done from all the times i have had Bronchitis that the " protection" in my lungs is gone :(
