Hi folks, it's me Das Newb again. My question as a new person to vaping, is how durable are they? Can these item take some level of abuse, or are they glass slippers? For instance, tomorrow I am golfing, and of course it will be either jumbled in my pockets (least likely) or rolling around in the cart (most likely). Is this PV on a mission of no return tomorrow? What has been your experience??

Not sure which PV you have but an eGo or 510 type unit can take about as much abuse as a good cellphone. Some rolling and bouncing will be ok, but a 10 foot drop to pavement or a good soaking in the rain can kill them.
i have a joye 510 that works wonderfully for about 45 minutes when the battery dies. i have two 7-11 xhale02's that both broke within two weeks and required soldering to fix trhem.

Sure beat on them. They are cheap and easily replaced anyway right??? Just make sure you do not keep it in a tight pocket they have a tendency to pocket fire. They do much better in a shirt or jacket pocket or as you suggested the cart try. If you have an old sunglass case I have found that works great for what you are planning. Keep your eGo some cartos and juice all in one place. Will fit nicely in the golf cart and keep dust and dirt off it
My fiance is dropping our Riva/eGo batts on a regular basis. The top cap even came off one once and he just popped it back on and went back to vaping it, so I'd have to say that they're pretty hardy.
I dropped an Ego while getting out of my truck. It bounced off the bottom of the door frame and onto the asphalt. Got a tiny scratch on the battery case, but it's still working fine.
LOL !! I dropped an eGo on the kitchen floor. Cracked a tile but the eGo still worked !
I have a Provape and it is built very solid. I have dropped it several times and
no problems. I have a neopreme pouch that I clip on my jeans that holds it
while I am out and about outside. I did try putting it in my jeans pocket and
it did try and fire.

Had an 1100lb mare step on mine (Ego clone) in the round-pen yesterday, still works fine. (Though it IS a bit personalized now.) Granted the dirt in there is a bit soft, but still...
I have dropped my 510 (with cartomizer) and KR808D-1 a number of times (<-klutz) and they are fine.
Used 510s for over a year, first atty just died last week. Recently switched to the Ego-T and they're quite durable as well. There's a review in the review forum of a guy that took a punch to the chest on his Ego and it works fine still.
