Are V4L carts really any different from other KR808D-1's?

We all seem to think it is worth it! ;) I myself prefer the manual batteries which no other vendor has at this time - so a no brainer for me!

I respect the fact that this is a V4L subforum, but accuracy is important to me. Although (to my knowledge) Steve is the only US supplier to offer the extra long manual battery, he is not the only supplier to offer a regular length manual KR808D-1 battery.

I stand corrected then! ;) Sorry, but I checked quite a few vendors who carry the KR808D-1 (there aren't a whole lot of them) and all were offering the auto. I will admit, I could easily have missed the one you refer to. (I was pretty sure I got all of them who were suppliers on the ECF though - sorry about that)

The problem is that there are quite a few suppliers who are not yet on the forum, (they are in limbo due to server capacity), and quite a few other who appear to have decided not to even try. Lost of suppliers out there you can't find anywhere here.

I need to clarify:

My statements in the previous post are correct, however, after some pretty extensive research, even suppliers not represented on the forum, I cannot find another supplier with a manual KR808D-1 battery only a manufacturer.

That doesn't mean they don't exist but since some don't refer to their batteries by the model number, (like Steve), it isn't a reliable search.

So, DonDaBoom, could you provide a source?

DonDaBoom if leeshor doesn't mind PM her the source or open a thread in General?
It isn't Kosher to mention suppliers in other suppliers subforum....
that is if there are other sources......

If you check out the suppliers forum, I found a supplier that has the 902 manual battery that says it's works with all of these models. I'll PM you Jen.

Yeah ... that's the one I was talking about (and it is an ECF participant although not a "supporting" supplier) ... and, as of today, "there is another."* I'll PM leeshor with the info.

Again, I was just correcting a misstatement, not trying to lure people away from V4L. I am wowed by Steve's extra long battery.

I myself, prefer to order from 1 supplier, shipping can get expensive. Once I get my carts and can try the tobacco and menthol carts, Steve will most likely have a customer for life. The one I filled with 555 is sooooo good.

Yeah, that is the one I found too. Maybe a bit less expensive, but Steve's customer service keeps me loyal - I doubt seriously, they could touch him. Plus, no extra long either... and I gotta have that!!!! ;)

So in a nutshell - a KR series battery with a Greencig cart just can't be beat for simplicity, longevity (per charge / refill), and simplicity of refilling / dripping.

Hope that helps some!

I just got some VK & Greencig carts and a VK passthru.

I can't get a draw on a Greencig cart on the passthru. Just wanted to be sure they will work on the VK batteries.

I know you answered the question above, just wanted to confirm.

Thanks!

Greetings! -> I am actually happily vaping on a Greencig carto on one of the VK batteries I have as we speak. There is a trick to doing so. No worries though...

All you have to do is sock it down tight, then back the carto off by about one full turn. Then you should have a nice long stout draw per puff. :D

Basically the Greencig cartoz need some extra air, and you give it to them by allowing some to escape in through the threads on the battery. The cartoz are kind of 'flared' at the bottom ever so slightly, so you will still have a very stable e-cig. It's a great battery / carto combo - be sure to let us know how you like it!!

Take care,
- Hap

I guess I'll have to wait until I get some VK batteries to see how well I like it.

On this passthru, by the time I back off enough to get a draw (1/2 turn) the cart is way too loose and the draw is much harder than I like. Anything over 1/2 turn and it looses the connection.

I was (am) really hoping this would work. From what I've read on here, the Greencig carts seem like they would be great for refilling.

Default can someone reply?
Quote:
Just got my kit last week. After refilling both V4L and generic KR's, there is clearly more filler (polyfil?) in the V4l carts then standard KR's. It also appears that it may be a bit denser, though that is uncertain. This combined with V4L's own juice mixes probably account for the superior performance from V4l's carts out of the box. After refilling one of each with the same juice, they appear to vape the same to me, at least on the first fill, but the V4L's hold more between refills. The element seems to be the same in both, but I'm sure Steve could provide more details on any differences, such as different guage wire, extra wraps, etc. Although he may not want to divulge the info .
Steve:
from the same factory.. then what exactly is the difference? Is there one? If so what IS it?

I thought Dekang Stopped making 36mg carts? If that is true.. how are you still getting them?
I am really curious because I ALSO prefer the green cig carts over the KR808's. Will you be getting a shipment of the NEW Green Cig carts?
Lori B

Wow tomorrow is payday and stil no reply to my post... =(
The only difference I see is a few flavors and that he carries the 36mg that no one can get anymore because the manufacturer stopped making them.. are you selling till there is no more? are they marked or stickered like the others with 36mg on them? How do you have beer 36 if they no longer make them in 36mg ? Are they from same manufacturer as kr808 or elsewhere? Or are you filling yourself? I really dont like 36 as I will be getting the "med" I am just curious!!! I will get some and see if there is a difference for myself but I still would like a confirmation since everyone is saying they are different that they are indeed.
Do they come sealed or in blister packs?
What is the difference between your battery and the KR808 and I am not asking about the extra long battery..

Bob.. is there a "notch" in the passthrough?
I know the new manual batteries have no notch. My passthrough has a notch iitn and my Greencig carts are fine on it.

Steve does pop on the forum, but with Mark recovering from surgery, I don't imagine he sees all the posts, but he does answer if he sees it. Why not email him or Mark your question, that way you get it right from the horses mouth. ;)

correct me if I am wrong here:
there is NO notch on the bottom of the manual battery.. that is why the green cigs wont vape good..not because sealed.
Does the passthrough have this notch on bottom?

Maybe that is it, I do know they don't work on the manual batteries. I guess I just assumed it was because the manual batteries are sealed (and therefore can be dripped on). Hey, dealing with a blonde here! lol ;)

And no notch on my manual passthrough, but there is a notch on the auto passthrough.

Greencig cartos don't work with the manual batteries because they are sealed. But I will tell you something - they totally rock on the auto batteries - nice draw! :)

JenJen,

On Saturday evering, in another thread in the V4L forum, you answered my question:
Am I correct in my assumption that this extra long manual battery will work with both the KR808D-1 (aka VK) cartomizers and the Green Cig cartomizers?
with: Yeppers! ;)

I now am confused. Is it the case that the extra long manual battery works with the Green Cig carts, but the normal length manual battery does not? Or...[frankly, I can't think of a non-insulting alternative.]

Or, perhaps I misinterpreted ";)." I thought it referred to your cute way of saying "Yes" rather than to: "I'm not really serious when I say Yes."

FYI: I just placed an order for the extra long battery.
