Hi all,

I'm looking for a recommendation for a pv mod from vapers who have used at least 3 different kinds of mods in any given sub-class. For example, if you have tried three different 5V mods, then I want to hear from you which one you believe is the best given your personal experience. Of course this is not limited to 5V mods.

Ultimately I am looking for a pv that will give me a consistent production of tons of vaper--but I only want to hear from those with experience with at least three different mods in a given subclass so to make sure that the recommendation is informed.

Thanks

I have used about 4 different mods my first was a gg super slim and it delivered but it is an extremely high voltage and I didn't always want that or need it . My next three mods are all variable voltage mods starting with the little sister then to the big brother mod and now finally I just received my Provari from provape.com , the first two are good mods that are good starters for a good price but the Provari is by far the best mod I've had. It really is the next step in vaping I guess what is so great about it is that it has everything in one mod I mean no matter what kind of atomizer/cartomizer your using you can set it to your liking . Im not sure what kind of mod your looking for but I think if you had a Provari you wouldn't be sorry .

I have a question for your first... being you are interested in PV's no matter the type but want us to recommend at least 3. I would like to know what juice you use. These is no sense in recommending a top of the line unit if you use inferior juice. It is like putting cheap gas in a top line car. You ask about vapor but do not tell us what juice you use, what type of atty or carto you prefer. I can recommend a LR atty that will give you vapor on what ever mod you choose.

What is it you are looking for out of a PV is really what it comes down to.

Copied and pasted from the other thread:

Mods...what a wonderful yet horrible word it has become. Here is what I have come to realize.
The body of a mod is what will last you or not. If you purchase a good, quality made body all you are left with are batteries, atomizers and juice.
With this body comes a question. Will it be a top fed or a bottom feed body? I say get one of each as/when money allows. There is a difference, in my opinion. Being able to use the wick to help feed the coil makes a difference in taste, for me.

Next is to understand the battery life of the batteries you will use and the oomph they add to the chosen atomizer, while still retaining vape time.
Which now brings you to which atomizer are you going to use and abuse those batteries? Standard, LR, HV and every where in between, it all makes a difference.
Now you have to be able to know which types of e-liquids are your favorites and work best with which atomizer at what voltage.

For vapor, you need to have vg at around 30 percent, for clouds. This will lower the atomizers life. Be sure to blow out the atomizer daily (at night) to help with maintain life expectancy. Perhaps using clear flavors over colored-the added food colorings are cloggers.

I wish this was an easy question to answer as the advice given would be just as easy. It is through trial and error that we find the perfect match with all of the moving parts and it is also an individual taste preference match.
I have 510, 801, 901 and 808 atomizers/cartomizers and they are all different with each unit and each juice and each resistance. Once you combine one component with the next-the game changes.

I have in my mod arsenal: Carlos juice box, Phidias, Ali'i, P10, P18, Little Sister, Chameleon, 10440 box mod, 14500 box mod and the 900 mAh ego-not really a mod, but some think it is a mod.
I know that this does not help, but it is all relevant in your decision making.

You've missed the point. I want a recommendation for a single PV, not three different ones. I jsut want the recommendation to come from experience with PVs of a similar type.

Still what are you looking for? Battery life? best crafted? juice feeder? small and stealth ect... If you are looking to get an idea of the diff MOD's available you can try this site below and try looking up reviews off YouTube to see the MOD in action as well. I have 15 Mods and they are all for different uses, so recommending would be difficult unless we knew what you were looking for from a MOD?

Like I said in the original post, I'm looking for lots and lots of vapor, consistently. I want what everyone wants, long battery life, durability etc. etc. the point here, which I'm suprised is getting lost on those who have posted, is that I want to know what one YOU like the best given your experience. This isn't like 5th grade talking about boys or girls you like and saying "Oh its just so hard to choose", just pick the PV that you like the best. If you had to get rid of all of your PVs except for ONE which would you keep.

Thanks for the site, I will check it out, but I don't want to plow through reviews since the last time I did that I ended up with a subpar PV. Hence why I want to hear from those of you who have tried at least 3 of a particular class of PV. I am hoping to aggregate the results...assuming people start responding to my question.

Tons of vapor @ 35/65 PG/VG-- the gear I use is in my sig not a very BIG tube mod but good enuff batt life & solid functionality-- vented, all mechanical w/ locking bottom switch... drop tested daily, still shiny & krankin' clouds.

I've used/had Prodigy V2 & V3 @ 6v, 5v, 3.7v; home made Cisco laser & copper pipe mods. LR attys pretty much leveled the playing field against the HV mods for me-- craftmanship & price got me to the iCON as my go to. Have fun w/ your search, I'm glad mine is over.

OK it depends what your looking for.
3.7v-BB-Altsmokes
5v-GLV2-Great Lakes Vapor
6v-Silver Bullet-Altsmokes
These are my favs for each voltage. My favorite is the GLV2 5v Its got the perfect amount of heat, flavor and vapor.I prefer durability and consistant performance over looks and added things that can go wrong.

right now I'm loving box mods. simple small and cheap to make. When I go out I take for of them with me with fully charged 14500 batteries. The four will keep me going all night and the next morning easy enough. The AA boxes are small and durable. I like a 510 atty or low resistance cartomizer. for juice I use a 50/50 mix with 24mg. Lots of vapor very consitance and cheap.

I appreciate the advice that people have been offering about purchasing alternatives, but the ultimate goal of this thread is to name the PV that you would choose to have if you could have no others. There has been a lot of advice about custom mods and purchasing criteria, and I have now taken that into account and will use that information to inform my future posts, but for now I JUST want to hear about the PV you would choose based on your extensive experience with PVs. I understand that people have different mods for different purposes, but I want to know which you would choose above all others if you had to choose just one. Thanks for all the help you guys :)

MODERATOR: RE: Duplicate post: The original thread I started in Modders forum has been moved to this section, an unecessary move given that I restarted the thread already. If one of them must be closed, I request that the other thread be closed and this one kept because it has been more on topic. Sorry for the duplication.

I posted too your other thread...I am the criteria....I've been there done that...Long lasting cartos with atty flavor....High performance mod that will stand the test of time....East to up-keep....Cheap too run....Probably the safest...One more time.....
PV- The Buzz....You may equal....You won't beat it....IMO there is no equal
Carto- Iken's 801 Fusion a 510 fused to a 801...Brilliant
Batts- Trustfire the black flamed version...I've got them all...I like these best

Juice wise it's a toss up...most have good, all have bad...It's subjective...I run two Trustfire Multi chargers at all times...All my 3.7 batts fit....There's a new version floating but I've only seen it on China sites...Waiting on that...The bottom line....Matched output to atty/carto resistance will produce the vapor/taste/lifespan at its best...Defeating the cigarette demon is no small task..Get yourself a Buzz and top it with something from Iken...You'll be vaping like a KING or Queen as the case may be....I've said it before I'll say it again.....The Buzz flat out rules....The new Infinity will be a nice addition to the line up...Buzzkill is working on new technology daily...Customer service is great as is support...I've no complaints....Just praise for my BUZZ....Anybody want too see who can blow the biggest cloud..?? I'm game!!!!!!!!!

Yes as a matter of fact a friend purchased on due to the unavailability of the GGTS...I tried it once when it was new and I set it up for him.....Now his was regulated at 5 volts and my GG was either 3.7 or 6....For that reason I debated purchase but did not...because....I didn't like the position of the switch...much more effort was required to trigger it...the GG was easier to trigger and the Buzz is easiest....The .... cap was rounded on the GLV so sitting it on end wasn't happening...definitely a holder if you want to drip...no gravity flow for a bottom fired carto....Then there was the side mounted atty connection...Bulky described it best IMO...I never pocket carried a GLV and it dosen't look very pocket friendly too me....Now I still carried a BB, SB or GGTS in those days...the GLV would compare well with them...still I would rather have any of them over the GLV...Bulky top, switch on the end and a rounded bottom...Not for me...Variable voltage from the Buzz coupled with the ease of triggering alone make this a NO CONTEST...Please NO HATE MAIL !! The GLV will vape pretty good...just not as good as a BUZZ....output voltage matched to carto resistance seals the deal...............
