Thanks all! I haven't touched a smoke since the first week I bought a couple Janty 510 batteries. Compared to what I have today, I still can't believe I quit a pack and 1 1/2 pack a day habit on such tiny batteries ;)

Now that's funny, I feel the same. If you handed me some little batt e cig like that now I wouldn't know what to do. Amazing we were able to kick the habit with some of that stuff.

It's funny how you see people on the street using the 3.7v garbage that they bought from some kiosk acting so proud when the tip lights up........Knowing that if they don't move on to something better real quick they will be heading back to the gas station for a pack of smokes.

I just love whipping out my Silver Bullet when I see them. I also refer them to this site before the noveltywears off!

I used to be more helpful getting people started, I gave them equipment, spend loads of time setting them up, went over to their homes to refill things, etc. I found by doing that they had nothing invested, neither time nor money and quickly went back to analogs. Now like many of you have said, if they won't take the advice of researching this site, I doubt I can help them.

I had a lot of time and money invested when I started and was determined to make it work, accomplished. I was guilty of leaning on WIZ, Don, KentC, Sun, and many others but only after reading all I could and not understanding.

WIZ, I still look at you as a terrific meantor.

Most of the people i refer here don't bother- which is a shame because they could get so many more questions answered than by just asking me, even if my ECF-iversary was yesterday and I'm officially a two-year vet.
Happy ECFversary CES!! 2 years! Woot!!

AJ.......I had similar experiences at work. For awhile I was THE distributor of attys(cartos) and juice. I gave all of them the links to all the of the sites I shop at. Once I cut them off they reverted back to smoking. If they really wanted to substitute vaping for smoking thay would do what I do......get the credit card out and order some gear.

I just mind my buisness now. It's nice to be thought of as a mentor.........Most of mine have faded away into the sunset. Thanks!

Only been vaping now for 3 months myself, and not looking back at smoking analogs ever ever again. But yeah people want stuff that just works. I started out with a 510, had to order for a couple of people ... they still smoke. But honestly it's not that hard to read up and try some things yourself. I already sampled around 40 juices, tried tanks & cartos ... Can't wait for my XL ego to arrive hopefully tomorrow and test those smoktek 5ml dual coil cartos

But as you were saying, if they want to stop smoking they will, if they don't they just want to try something different

the game changer for me was discovering 5 and 6v vaping. At 3.7v I may well have went back to smoking. The extra power mimicks the actual sensation of throat hit associated with smoking. I still use 3.2mg liquids, that may have helped me stay on the straight and narrow as well.

Congrats on your 3 months!

I held out for the longest time, just stuck with my 5v mods (PureSmoker V2 and NHaler XHalers) with 2 batts (3v) stacked and regular 510 or 901 attys. There was all this stuff about LR atties and 3.7v, I ignored it for a year then finally hit the buy button for the Icon and LR 306 Cisco attys. I have really been happy, really. No major issues.

Well another year has passed and all I see/read about here are egos and tanks and ce2s and stuff I know nothing about. I think for the first time ever I will go to a VapeFest (one coming up in Hotlanta). I can probably get my questions answered there.

I still can't believe the noobs haven't heard of the Icon, am I really vaping an antique/collectors item?! I'm laughing so hard, here I was cutting edge and now in the dust, story of my life.

Thanks. In the meanwhile my ego-t arrived and i got some smoktek dual coil cartos ... I must say this is heaven and a step up from a 510-t .... With the 11mg menthol I was smoking it was a very hard throat hit ... Luckily I did have a 0 mg bottle of menthol, so mixed it a bit down ... And voila this is just perfect ... But already looking to try something with variable volt :)

They started selling LavaTubes in The Netherlands now, so it's easy and fast to ship to Belgium ... To avoid extra customs from when I order in the US

But back on track ... So I got my ego-t XL and went to my godchilds birthday this weekend ... Anyway there was some family there and they were like what the hell are you smoking now ... Someone actually tried an e-cig kit but wasn't too happy with it. I let him try the ego-XL and the 510 ... He was impressed, I redirected him here, so he can read up. I can not tell him what he needs to buy or try, the same goes for juices ... And now it's up to them what they want to do with it
