Haha! Gotchya on that one. Don't wanna de-mystify things too much but that's a store bought banding. I buy them pre made in 36" strips. I have made bandings before but they're pretty time consuming. It's easier to buy them. I put those on there to dress up the line where the veneer meets as it wraps around the tube.
You must think me a no-talent bum now, huh?
That knot is all me and a scroll saw, however.
