Hello,

I haven't been around since May. I went back to analogs about 4 months after stopping all nicotine intake when I sold my precise 18650. Stress got the best of me.

I've been smoking for 3 months and it's driving me crazy, so I'm shopping for my next PV. I've spent a lot of time looking around and there are sooo many products and so many sites I don't know what to do. I don't have loads of money so I really don't want to experiment and take chances with my cash,:vapor::vapor: so I've come back to the board for some advice.

I'm not looking to buy another precise. I'm thinking about just picking up an ego kit. I like the reliability and the simplicity. I'd like to try the fluxomizers and I don't know if they work with the ego. I'd like to try the dual coil cartomizers but again don't know if they work with the ego. I wouldn't mind buying a mod but I don't want to spend any more than a 150 and I want everything I need to vape and charge.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a store with a a quality PV that I won't have to wait for, won't break the bank, doesn't leak juice everywhere, has reliable performance, is compatible with things like xl dual coil carts fluxomizers and map tanks??

Thanks so much for your help,

Thomas

There are so many really good PVs (and suppliers for them) in your price range: both fat batts (like that eGo you are considering) and mods. Before spending anything like $150, I urge you to take your time to consider what you really want it a PV at this point: juice feeding, variable voltage, tube or box-shaped, size, moderate or very high mAh (like your P18), and even the position and feel of the switch button. I outlined such parameters in my Mods Buyers Guide and some of the factors also are applicable to fat batts. [Written one year ago, newer mods are not mentioned, but the factors to consider are the same.]

In the meantime, why not get an inexpensive (but good quality) fat batt? Liberty-Flights sells a 650 mAh Joye eGo kit for $40. Because of its higher voltage (3.7 vs. 3.2V), slightly greater mAh (750), and lower price, I prefer the Riva-510. Liberty-Flights sells Riva-510 kits from $30-36 (depending on battery feature and atomizers/cartomizers included).

Speaking of atomizers and cartomizers, my favorite 510-compatible carto is the Smok Tech 1.7 ohm Single Coil (nicknamed the 'Resurrector' by Crystal Clear Vaping and 'ReJuvenator' by SmokTek, because it brings new life to the puny-voltage eGo). [IMO, the wildly popular dual coils don't hit hard enough at 3.2V and are barely adequate at 3.7V.] And the Boge 2.0 cartos (available from almost all suppliers) also are excellent.

If you are willing to wander a little bit off the beaten path, I highly recommend either of two proprietary battery/cartomizer kits: the $50 cigarillo-sized, 380 mAh Elite 808 from CigEasy ... and the cigar-sized, 800 mAh Boge Leo, available from many suppliers, including White Stag Vapor ($23 for a one-battery/two-cartomizer kit) and VapingZone. The Kr8-compatible Elite delivers outstanding TH and vapor and its 2ml-capacity cartos work well (with 510-to-808/901 adapter, e.g., $1.50 from Good Prophets) on eGos, Rivas, and 3.7V mods. the The Leo is not compatible with anything else (although there now is a 510-to-Leo adapter for it, available from those two suppliers), but its 4ml-capacity cartomizer provides the smoothest, deepest, richest taste I have ever experienced ... and the new dual coil or 2.4-2.6 ohm versions pack the kind of TH and vapor I look for.
