So I was at the Parks Mall tonight, and there is a new e-cig vendor set up down there - selling Ruyan and Smoore stuff. He was making a sale, and didn't want to bug him, just asked what he was selling his M series for - it was something like $130! Didn't seem to be affiliated with anyone. Is this someone on ECF?

130 bucks is a real shame for a starter kit. I'm assuming you didn't talk to the buyer afterwords.

It's me! haha, just kidding.

But you know I've gotta defend the mall kiosks guys just a little. Their overhead is a lot more expensive than an online shop. Plus they've got to know that most of their sales will be a one time only sale unless someone needs fast and quick fix. Once a person does the impulse buy at the mall they're going to research into what they just purchased. When they do they'll find they can get them much cheaper. Then it's good-bye kiosk guy.

Yeah, I saw this last week. I slowed down when the wife and I were walking by and he started to come my way. My wife just grabbed my arm and pulled saying "Oh no you don't" because she knows how I am. I just pulled mine outta my pocket, gave a nice drag and was guided away. I had the black Dura-C with manual switch and he looked like he had just seen a Martian. I meant to lose the wife and go back to talk to him but once she had dragged me through Victoria's Secret, I forgot all about him and anything else :D

My wife works for Mall Management for a Mall in Austin (Assistant GM).
E-cigs vendors have wanted to rent kiosks there in the resent past. She said they thought about it, but after reseaching, they felt they should hold off allowing them at the moment. In her Mall, they have to sign a lease agreement for the Kiosk. If they go belly up (banned), it would be unfair for the vendor to be stuck having to pay for a lease to sell a product he or she can no longer supply.

I didn't want to be an .... The guy's charging a lot, but if those people got one because of him, and otherwise would have kept buying $6.00 packs every day, I'd say they still got a good deal. Besides, he's giving out carts to whomever wants to try it, and paying rent at the mall - that all cuts into his profit.

Haven't seen this guy yet, but High Times Smoke Shop south of UTA is selling eHealth cigs. Talked to their "eCig Expert" about a week ago, she didn't even know what an atomizer was or what the ecig forum is. Oh well, I left my number and told them to call me when she gets some juice in. Pretty cool store though. Everyone was nice and they had cheap glassware, if your interested.

I live down the street from that place. How were the prices and what models did they have?

They had what looked like two different eHealth M401 models for like 80-85 bucks, they came in that stupid green and white wall charger cigarette case. I hate when stores start their eCig debut carrying these or other total crap brands. Typically after they don't sell, or they do and everyone wants a refund because they break, then the store figures out that it isn't worth their bother to keep carrying them. Overall it just leads to a big loss to the eCig cause. If we could get good quality eCigs into shops, though overpriced, they would do more to promote good vaping and what the whole eCig and PV world represents. Sorry, I rant from time to time...

I showed their sales lady my real M401 and the differences of both, mainly the lopsidedness of my Pilot's overwhelming sexiness and swagger to her god awful M40(SUCK) eMoneyPit.

Stopped to talk to him yesterday and he's selling his e-pipe for $300. He's got some disposable e-cigars and JC smoke juice (forgot to ask price) and he seems like a nice fella. When I asked about the fda situation he said that he's not worried because there's no way they could stop the e-cig while analogs are still legal. He asked what my favorite was and I told him Janty Dura-C, for now. He was real interested in mine but he is after all a business man and he has product to sell so we only talked briefly. He said that his only competition in the DFW area, as far as he knew, was Smoking Everywhere at a few of our other malls.

Nice enough guy but not very well informed about the whole picture besides the products he sells.

Are you speaking of a mall vendor or the salesmen at High Times?

I stopped in the High Times shop and talked to the guy. He was nice but didn't know very much about his stuff. He didn't know that you could refill the carts so I showed him and he also went into a rant about how the FDA was going to ban everything. He didn't have any liquid. He asked where I buy liquid so I gave him a list of links and he said he was going to check into it. All he had were 84mm super minis. I showed him a few models and he seemed interested. I took a hit off the screwdriver and Janty Stick and he looked shocked at the amount of vapor. Overall he was a nice guy, at first he asked me if I knew more about his product than he did and I was unsure if he was annoyed or generally interested in knowing more. After talking though he seemed real happy to have more info about them. He called the co-owner over and they both seemed interested in carrying more/other products. We'll see if he ends up carrying liquid....
