Ok, not saying its cause of the arrow. But having made a lot of wicks and coils this is the first time I've had the wire snap. After wrapping the coils, the second I press my button the wire snaps. Happened two times in a row before I got it working.

Is it poor oxidation? Having to use a thinner wick than normal? What makes the wire sap like that?

I'm assuming you're talking about the Arrow atty by Yellowkiss. I have one too, but either way, a Gen atty can do that sometimes; called popping the coil. It's usually the top one and can be due to poor oxidation, top coil leg too far from post to name a couple.

I popped my first coil w/ the Arrow as well but the second was a winner. I'm using 32g kanthal. Check the distance from your top coil leg to positive post and make sure your wraps are snug; not too tight or too loose. Yet another factor.

Yeah that's the one. And indeed it was the top coil popping. Also used 32g kathal. But it's the thinnest wick I've made yet and thought that might be casing it. Anyway got it working to after a couple of tries. It's a nice atty :)

The thin wick isn't the culprit, although it can lead to over wicking/gurgling which I'm getting. I'll make a thicker wick next. I forgot to mention, you can sort out hotspots by nudging the coils up or down or the pulse method (short pulses of the button until the coils glow evenly). If you use the pulse method, be careful if using 14500 batts.

First and foremost I'd check the distance between the positive post and coil leg and make sure your coils are snug but not tight.

Yeah I did use the pulsing on my bagua on my second try. But it snapped pretty fast. Third time I put it on my Provari and turned the voltage way down. Pulsing got it working then. But honestly it might just have been a bad wick to.

It is leak proof if you want it to be. Still requires two pretty tough turns though. I flipped it over for a few seconds and ended up with a big stain on the lucky pouch. But for putting it in a bag or going out with it it's pretty cool.

Cheers for the advice :)
