Starlight, I have 2 trippy tips and they each fit a little differently in different tanks, so I assume the same could be said for attys, carto's, etc.

One of them is really tight in the top of an acorn tank, I have to run warm water around the metal that surrounds the tip and through the tip. It seems to make the o-ring a bit more pliable and makes the tip pop out easier. This probably wouldn't work so well if you were planning to use that atty again right away, but if it's during cleaning time anyway, it should work ok. You could also try lubing the o-ring area up with some straight vg before putting it into the atty. That should help with removing it later

Not sure about other o-rings, these are already pretty small, but maybe someone else knows more about that.

If your tip stays on that atomizer, and its a brand that you always use and has the same fit, the "cure" is to file or sand the o-ring a little. Do it all around, you dont want to make a weak spot. Bert uses the smallest o-ring made, so there are no others to try.

There are different materials you can try though. But the o-rings get pricy with special orders and shipping.

I have an assortment of sizes #36, #47, #60 and for the ever so not gonna work #004. The first three I buy at Home Depot in packs of 10 o-rings made by Danco, plumbing section. The 004 I purchased from oringmonkey.com. When the other 3 will not work (I have one tip that needs this o-ring) I use the 004. It is a pain to get it on and the o-ring breaks often as I take my off the atomizer often to clean and the pressure is too much for such a small o-ring. Love the tip hate the o-ring problem.
I have filed an o-ring and it just creates more of a mess and debris when putting it on the atomizer, every time-black specs galore. It worked, but ended up-not being a great fix.
Hope his helps!

Hope someone can help me with this, my problem is is that i am having a hard time removing my trippy tip from an atomizer, i'm wondering if there is a different o-ring or something else i can use to make this easier?
thanks so much :)

I'm wondering what brand of atomizer you are using...I have an atty here that I use specifically for making sure the tips fit nicely, and I would like to add this size of atty to my collection for fitting purposes.

I took DeviantDe advice and used a little vg and now it is sliding on and off much better now :) If you would like i can send this atty in so you can use it for fitting purposes, i unfortunately don't know what type of atty it is because i bought it when i first started vaping and i wasn't labeling my stuff yet :/. It also might just be me i do have some problems with my hands and my grip isn't very good. I have tried my trippy it in other attys and cartos though and the fit is looser, i could just have a slightly off atty

Glad it helped :)
I learned that one when I 1st started dealing with tank mods. I'm familiar with hand & grip problems, I've got osteoarthritis and it's been really bad (and getting worse) the last few years. Even with the few tricks I've learned, there is still a lot of frustration and cursing involved during cleaning because I can't always get everything apart or back together.

I know exactly what you mean i have nerve damage in both my hands and well it's a little difficult to get them to do what i want them too lol. Interestingly though i just got another tip from the same member (just came in today) tried it in the same atomizer and it easily slid in and out so i think eventually i'm going to replace the orings on the one i'm having a hard time with but for now the vg juice trick is working perfectly I've even used it for another tip I had problems with lol

Glad it helped :)
