Bert, I'm so sorry to hear about Trey. I think so many of us have "been there, done that" and it brings up all the sadness for everyone. Sounds like she was a tremendous friend and the love went both ways.

Loved your idea for the sculpture/memorial shine. I'll bet if it looks good in your head, the finished creation will be amazing!

i think it is a string of bad luck along with more trippies for sale and also more people buying them which mean more trippies out and about and unfortunately more accidents and bad luck :(

We are going to try to do a sale this weekend, but no promises. I just found out that my parents dog (that I grew up with) had to be put to sleep today :( She was a good friend/hunting buddy and I miss her. Here she is enjoying one of her favorite passtimes.

(((((((( Bert ))))))))) I am so sorry for your loss.

A BRIDGE CALLED LOVE

It takes us back to brighter years,
to happier sunlit days
and to precious moments
that will be with us always.

And these fond recollections
are treasured in the heart
to bring us always close to those
from whom we had to part.

There is a bridge of memories
from Earth to Heaven above…
It keeps our dear ones near us
It’s the bridge that we call love.

I'm very sorry about the loss of your best friend. I went through this in January and it pierces your heart. They really are the best, aren't they? I'm sure she had a wonderful life and got just as much love as she gave. Take care.

So sorry for this Bert. We love our babies! It's so sad that they go so soon.

So very sorry for your loss Bert, Trey had a most wonderful life while she was here on earth with the perfect family who loved her dearly. That pic is priceless and shows more than words can ever express.

Good luck this morning peace, hope all goes well and that you heal quickly.

Hang in their Bert and know you're not alone. The wife and I had a 23 year, 11 month old Siamese female (Cleo) who was with us from our first month of marriage that had to be put down about a year ago. Most traumatic day of our lives. We've both lost family members over the years but our babies always hold tight on the heart strings. That image of Trey is a wonderful memory I'm sure you find comfort in as time passes.

Cleosmall.jpg This one was Cleo in her favorite spot on the screened porch.

How old is Dirt? I think we got her when I was 14, and I am 28 now so...14 years old.

Bert my heart goes out to you at this time of grief.
I believe Trey's spirit will always be with you. I know from experience when I least expect it there is a familar feeling that someone dear to me is close or a memory suddenly becomes so real I have to pinch myself.
When I am alone with my thoughts I can almost feel a moist nose resting on my hand or a sigh of contentment whispering in the air as if my dear beloved "Jana" is still with me.
She will never leave your heart and her soul will forever be present.

SO sorry for your loss Bert. We just loss our 16 year old doggy-companion and I feel your pain. These beautiful animals become beloved family members and it's never easy saying goodbye. I'm sure you gave Trey a wonderful life and it sounds like she also gave you much in return. Sending my best wishes to you:)
