Well guys, took mom into the hospital today and it was all bad news. she has a degenerative disease destroying the blood vessels that supply her brain and the prognosis is about 6 months before she's vegetative. They say she may not even come back around as herself this time. Thanks for all of the support last night, it meant a lot. I'm going to log out for a few days now and try to get my head back on straight. Don't buy too many trippys without me!

TrippyTips.com Sale Night Info & Suggestions:
-Create an account at TrippyTips.com
-Sign up for the newsletter. Newsletters usually go out the day of the sale, sometimes the day before. Sales can begin approximately one hour after the Tipped Off Newsletter goes out, so you will need to check this thread for the latest info as soon as you receive the newsletter.
-Have a paypal account set up, its the only way to purchase.
-Clicking checkout with paypal is quicker than just going through checkout.
-Going for only one tip then checking out increases your chances of getting the tip you want. You can always go back for another.
-Any tips that someone else gets through checkout with before you do will become out of stock and you will have to remove them from your cart before you can checkout with any tips that are still in stock.
-Look back to this thread occasionally to check for estimated upcoming sale dates.
-There is no constant set sale time or day. Bert holds sales at varied times and days of the week to accommodate the schedules of people all over the world. This last few months there has usually been a sale every other week.
-You must check the thread or watch for the newsletter to know when the next sale will be held.
-When you see Bert post "GO" the sale has started!
-Trippy Tip sales can be a bit hectic. The batches have been larger lately so the 1st 1/2 are gone in what seems like 2 minutes and you usually have a little bit longer to go after another tip(or 3) after that 1st rush.
-Because of the hectic nature sometimes we all miss out on tips we really wanted. Try not to get discouraged! There is always another sale and with every sale is a new batch of tips that somehow Bert and Freddy find a way to make even more amazing than the last.
-Watch for trades and sales in the classifieds a few days after the sale, they happen frequently.
-Trippy tips are glass, so yes they can break. It's not a common occurrence, but it does happen. Many of the tips that have broken have been fixed by Bert and Freddy.
-Please feel free to join in with the chatting here, we talk a lot, about pretty much everything and we are always happy to have another person join in the fun
-If you have any questions please feel free to ask! This thread is full of people that will happily offer help and information.

Amber, I am so sorry about your mom and everything you are going through. I am sending love and light your way sweetie. Hang in there and please let us know if there is anything we can do...Well guys, took mom into the hospital today and it was all bad news. she has a degenerative disease destroying the blood vessels that supply her brain and the prognosis is about 6 months before she's vegetative. I wanted to add a few things:
When you sign up for the newsletter, you will get an announcement usually on the day of a sale, usually within a few hours of the sale. It may or may not state the approximate time the sale will start. That is why it is important to then watch the thread to get updates. The sale actually starts when Bert says "GO" or something to that affect. Generally, Bert will post pics of the Tips that will be in the sale during the days before the sale, and the Tip Off will have the whole lot shown, however, historically they have been displayed without the names. There is your chance to make your wish list.
You keep a window open to the thread and a window open on trippytip.com
Make sure you are already logged into your trippytip.com account well in advance.
If you are going for a particular shape or color, you can just keep refreshing that page. If you want to go view many different types, then choose the "View All" TAB and don't forget to change the "Show (x) per page" form the default of 10 to ALL.
Then when you hit F5 to refresh (which you will be constantly doing moments before the sale), you will not have to click NEXT PAGE. Also, remember when you refresh, allow the page to load before hitting it again. All of a sudden from having no product displayed, Trippies will start populating the screen. Be careful not to hit refresh again. Scroll down to the tip you want and click "Add to Cart" a popup window will appear and choose "View Cart and Checkout". At the next screen immediately choose the yellow button that says "Checkout with PayPal"
Make sure that you either have a speedy PayPal password or copy it into your clipboard before you start the sale so all you have to do is paste it. You will then login to PayPal. After you login you have to hit "Continue". Then you will be brought back to the Trippy Tip site where you will have to select from the top of the page, at the drop down menu the "Shipping Method". There is only one to choose from. Fixed Flat Rate $5.00. Immediately scroll down to the bottom and click "Place Order"
If you are lucky, you will get an order confirmation. If not lucky, you will be given a message that says your item is out of stock. If you try to go back at this point and get another tip, you will not be able to check out because the out of stock item will still be in your cart. So before going back, you have to remove the out of stock item. Then go back and try again.
Now, a few pointers on how to get a little edge. I got many that I won't divulge, but these are pretty basic. I also won't go into how to do them because you can find that info on the web.
If you are on a wireless connection, GET OFF OF IT. Hard wire your computer into your router. Next, turn off all unnecessary processes and services running on your Windows computer. LINUX and Macs don't need to worry about this. Optimize your internet connection. There are a lot of things you can do there. I have never found those programs that supposedly do it for you to work as well as doing it manually. Plus all they do is make some registry modifications and I don’t like anything or anyone but me messing with my registry. Finally, whatever browser you are using, turn off all add-ons. There are browsers I prefer over others, but you can try different ones and you decide. Hope this helps.
