In the clouds
with a pat on my back, I can honestly say this could be done for you!

I have to say, it would be in 'honor' of Dale Chihuly, whose "dialog" has been exploring this type of glass composition for quite some time now. He's the "innovator" :)

EXCUSE ME TRIPPYTIPSKINS, while I play catch up :D

just WOW!

Hey Horseman, I have a couple DIDs coming, and they have extra "short DID" parts .... you just change out the tank, and posts, correct?
I dont have the short DID (looks funny for a 6'4" guy ), I like the capacity of the 'long' DID. It is my understanding that top/bottom caps are the same. You would need the tank, ctr tube & pos post of the shorter variety.

Blu (or any other DID user) -
I have found a way to adjust the pos post to make contact w/o using an adapter in deep 510 connections (P+) or dome top mods (Helix). A trippy o-ring slid on the pos post, then tucked in. Be careful when putting on the mod - the o-ring will compress a bit, so DON'T over tighten.

Horseman - remind me of this when I have a DID in hand .... I am not good at visualizing things. LOL
I have no clue what you are talking about ....

Ok all ... heading to the beach now, not sure if I can get "on" there, it's always a crap-shoot, so if not, have a good weekend!!

Sure Blu.
It's simple. When you assemble the DID, you finish the tank section first. Then you insert the pos (brass) post thru the bottom (there is a flange on one end, threads on the other side of pos post). Before you insert the pos post, put a trippy o-ring on the post, then slide down to flange. You put one of the brass nuts on the threaded end & tighten til the pos post is locked in place. The trippy 0-ring is a bit larger than the inside of the 510 connection, so you need to tuck it in so it wont stick out. Even acts as an xtra insulator
